The Life Of Brian (Kelly)

Brian Kelly, I had your back for every minute of this season because you were a young fella with the right attitude, who was trying his heart out

This club had sunk real low over the last few years and we needed guys who could bring goodwill back to the club. You delivered in spades

You were there when we handed Hasler his first loss as a coach against Manly. And what a thrashing it was! You were on board when we won five in a row to rocket into the top 4. For a young rookie in a side rising from the gutter, you can hold your head up high after the debut season you have just had

We beat the dogs before this year with Hasler in charge. Remember Stewarts comments after we beat them.

I will say it again. this is Kelly's first year in First Grade. take into account Jorge went down injured and he's had a solid reserve playing outside him he's done ok. sure he had some mistakes and some bad games but the sky's the limit for this kid.
think if he had a Uate on his outside or Turbo when he was coming thru? defence look at the line and attack on whats coming at them. Wright is no threat so all the squeeze comes to Kelly. get a decent winger on his shoulder and his speed and footwork will carve them up..

I thought Matt Wright was pretty good tonight ... solid under the high ball, defended well and made some good hard metres

@PittwaterLegend

you are to be commended
it is so hard to be right when the 'mob' just want to hate
Kelly is good and showed it earlier this year
2 MVP in a row (by those who have a clue)

You can't keep trying to drag him down. He is only young, and yours is just an opinion. We are in the final, and thanks to his confidence and contribution. I'm happy with him.
Come on people.......................as a big critic, I'll admit he played well today but this is the sort of rhetoric that ends up creating "stars" that just aren't.

How much of today's performance was because the WHOLE team was up!
There's an old adage that it's always easy to play well in a winning team.

I hope you are all right and he becomes a star but lets not get carried away with tonight!!

Watch the game again, the defensive frailties are still there....................the Panthers were getting smashed up the middle...........they didn't have much quality possession and when they did, they didn't go wide much.

He continues to do this thing where he runs into the guy who has just passed the ball rather than staying alive and sliding. (watch their final try). Good teams will go around him all day! (as they have been doing)

You brought the topic up!

Ok Bozo.

Let's not all cream our jeans! Kudos to the kid for finally putting in a stellar 80 minute display which will hopefully turn around his career. How quickly we forget though that he has played 22 matches this season most of which were forgettable. He needs to show a great deal more consistency before you drop your load by comparing him to the great Matai, as some have suggested.

Thanks for all your feedback, I'll take it on board!!

Congrats to Kelly, he played a great game today...............I hope like hell he goes on with it but I repeat what i say, one sunny day doesn't make a summer!

I'm now going to forget this thread and enjoy the rest of my day, I have a distinctly warm fuzzy feeling inside for some reason! @:)🙂

the humble pie is just on your left, enjoy @:)

Always knew this kid Kelly had the goods. Just needed the confidence and time to develop. He's destined to be a star with a touch of Jamie Lyon about him

His career didnt need to be turned around. And his games up until mid way through the season were excellent, he just struggled as most do un their first year with the grind of first grade. He had a rest and hasnt looked back since. Been our best player the last couple of weeks.
