At the end of the games we can hand craft participation awards for all the players and true supporters... heck, we can even award emotional intelligence points.

The great thing today is the team rediscovered its belief and our 2nd half was the best we have played since the Sharks game. To beat a good team like Easts and run away from them was very pleasing. I understand the angst the fans have felt over the last fortnight. Two very poor performances and a bad attitude in defense were very costly. Today was a good lesson for the team to persevere when in adversity and the fight back started by our defense lifting collectively. Still too many off loads for mine but a big improvement. All I know is we are building something very nice for the years ahead, our good players are young and with some shrewd recruitment, we will be right up there challenging in the next few years.

Agree with OP, people need to stick solid with the side and post encouragement rather than criticism. Baz read the team the game thread at half time, luckily there was enough positivity in it to get the boys motivated enough to have a real dig in the second half. That win is for the crew who posted positive thoughts in the game thread when Manly were down.

Your kidding right? So unless we have something positive to say then we cannot be critical? When did this become the Silvertails communist forum? That win is for ALL the supporters out there who love the eagles!

I'm amazed at some posters lack of intuitive understanding. No one is saying you can't be critical or concerned, in fact, no one is saying you can't be anything....do and say as you please...

But...

I'll exercise my right to also express myself and my feelings are that supporters that get OVERLY NASTY (I didn't say critical) are a little on the unstable side and that amuses me.

Hi Snake, I was actually responding to Volley's post above mine...so if you read it in that light it makes sense.

I agree that there is a difference between overly nastiness and criticism.. It's all subjective though.. This is not parliament so it's expected to see this type of diatribe.. I find it amusing and that's why I am a member of this forum.

Your original post didn't stipulate though, and then you quoted my innocuous response to make it look like you were having a dig at me personally, I was only ever constructive and don't consider myself unhinged at all.

I still think you erred as much in this thread as the people you wished to call to question.

Mate do you really think the Manly boys would've lifted in that second half if Baz had to read a game thread full of negativity to the guys? We're all lucky there was enough positive posts in the game thread that the Manly guys wanted to play for us and get the 2 points.

Well we're lucky that Baz has better things to do than read those posts during half time! You must be delusional to think that the boys got over the line because there were more positive posts there.. If that's the case then please start a positive thread for world peace and see how far that goes..

I stuck by the team, others lost their **** and I called them on it...

It was a simple message and one that I stand by. The samantics of everything in between, is of no consequence to me, only to those that give a damn, and I'm not one of them!
