The knockers

It feels good when the team has a great win today and you know that you backed them all week and stuck solid. Feels ****ing awesome!
Trust me, I'm feeling just as f***king awesome after that second half turnaround. Being critical of previous weeks or the first half didn't take away any of the joy from that win for me.

Fans go to games, or watch them on TV, and it's one big emotional rollercoaster. That's one of the joys of following a team. I expect fans to vent and go off during games. I have less time for people who come in after the heat of the moment, and with hindsight, to chastise those who were riding the emotional rollercoaster.

Hey Fellas let's all settle down. That was an amazing come back from the boys. We are all aloud to blow off some steam and you must remember that those comments are coming in live as the action happens. They're the sort of things we say at the heat of the moment. Doesn't mean that they don't love the eagles or aren't die hard supporters... I for one didn't expect the final score to be what it was after trailing 18-4. Doesn't mean that I am a knocker, maybe a doubter.. a very happy one at that!

Oh FFS! Get over yourself. What is it with people who feel the need to come out and attack fellow supporters with the same old self-righteous tripe!

Yes, there was plenty of criticism through that first half and bloody rightfully so. If Manly hadn't turned that second half around you would not be here on your pious soap box, lauding yourself on the back of putting down others.

How, oh how, can I be such a righteous loyal "true fan" like yourself. Where do I sign up for this extreme religious group that silences any internal criticism or questions? Do we get to self-flagellate daily?

Aint that the truth!

I tended to think that as well. It seemed like the Roosters cut us up at will but their execution was very, very poor. It seemed like they went the length of the field each set of six. We dodged a bullet today but I will take the two! I'm glad it wasn't just me!
I agree that the Roosters poor execution was a key aspect of us getting up. Our effort and hustle in the second half was important to take advantage of that (and also was partly responsible for the the Rooster's performance too). Chicken or the egg.

Nevertheless, it was the sort of "luck" that we needed, along with the effort, to turn our recent form around (at least psychologically). I hope they will continue to work hard in certain areas. It was worrying to see us ping them down on the goal line numerous times with great enthusiasm and line speed, only to then undo all the good work with a single poor moment that allowed the Roosters to suddenly just roll up the field and gain the momentum.

You seem to have two out of the three as well...
It's childish maybe to rub it in, but I am definitely not sulking right now and certainly not bad tempered, so can we go with one of the three? I am smiling from ear to ear!

There's a thing called emotional intelligence though and sometimes you have to exercise it or you just sound foolish and stupid. I don't know you personally so I am not having a go at you specifically, but just the same as it's fun to rub it into opposition supporters when we win, it's fun to laugh it up at all the naysayers who deride their own heroes as soon as something doesn't go to script.

If the team isn't upto scratch we as fans have a right to comment. Our criticism of Kelly has been justified and Barrett has answered our call.. I gave it to uate and walker in the 1st and rightly so wtf were they doing back peddling giving them all the space.. see walker jam in in the 2nd. I call it as I see it if they are playing like ass I will call them out.. If they are costing us the game I'll do the same we all have passion and our goal is the same.

on another note.. LEWIS BROWN SCORED HAHAHA THAT TRY BROKE THERE BACKS LOL let's put him on a 5 year contract haha

Their.

What a comeback
A few silly defensive lapses were overcome by a team willing to fight for the win - that is the best part of today's victory

I do Understand what is being said in the original post. I started reading the game thread after the game was over, and occasionally, not all posts, are just ridiculous and making poor statements on players/Trent as if the game was over. Sure, call out when we made a bad play, but it goes beyond that.

Funny how people want to get their backs up about being able to post what they want about the players or coach, but don't like it when someone calls them out and voice opinions on their forum performance.

Much the same really.....

What's your opinion on him then? Or just what Barrett says is what you think?

I think he topped the tackle count and had some outstanding moments defensively. That effort to hold up Manu while Aku drove him back in goal was huge. Thought overall he was very good today and he bounced back very well after a shaky start.
