I really dont know how the team and the coach are going to function with the two players that are leaving. If I was the coach I would feel betrayed and pissed off and as for the players well I would just feel like taking them aside at training for a talking to behind the sheds. Interesting couple of weeks ahead indeed.

Imagine if the players commited to 2016 and beyond said 'It's too tough this year. Gift's gone, Choc's gone, Chez is going, Foz maybe going. Yes they are good players but they werent together before 2011 and we had made the finals for 6 years straight by then, we now have over 2 mil to spend on some quality forwards and get kane elgey for around 150-200 k if that really. It is disappointing but if we had signed them for 1-1.2 each we wouldnt be able to get any quality forwards so we wouldnt be able to match it with souths and roosters

Ryan if what you say is true they violated league rules. You can't sign more than one season in advance per the nrl's rules

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. Bitterly disappointing to lose two players that we have developed, but keeping both would have chewed up too much cap space, in my opinion. However, it would have been better to keep one of them and then work at developing a second player with them.

I have to be honest. I feel pissed off at what appears as mercenary behaviour from DCE and Foz, but at the same time, I'm excited at the prospect of starting afresh and building a new team.
