Isn't the June 30 law obsolete now? I thought they got rid of it after the DCE debacle.

Was done and dusted until pierce and crichton became options. Manly still a chance with these two. only slight chance though im guessing.
Don't forget that the Mole said that the deal had cooled because Manly was after bigger fish.
Who's not to say that Manly got the big fish and no longer chose to pursue Thompson....
We haven't announced Gorman and Baz. The club is up to something. Delaying good news for some reason. Maybe to offset the Salary Cap findings?... Or just a membership lure after the investigation is over. But there is something going on by delaying the announcements.

Really disappointing to miss Thompson, if it's due to us hunting "bigger fish" i'll be pissed. His stats are as good as any, hope we land Pearce now. Just need a bit of our future sorted out in major positions. Winterstein just needs to continue to improve in 2018, unless we pull of a miracle and get someone like Crichton, but like the most of us I feel we are one in a million for that
