Both are freakishly good players so its a win, win situation.
Fact is, after a winning NSW team 2018, likely to maintain the same winning setup, expect Tom T on the wing.

Gutherson’s upgraded offer, Arthur yet to get contract clarity
Rumblings are emerging of unrest at Parramatta with more than half of the top playing squad off-contract at the end of 2019, as well as coach Brad Arthur.
On Channel 9’s 100% Footy on Monday night, Danny Weidler reported Arthur is ‘becoming increasingly frustrated’ as he waits for confirmation of a new deal from the club, or a directive they won’t be re-signing him.

He also revealed the Eels have tabled an upgraded offer to Clint Gutherson, revising the original deal they had on the table for their club captain.

The Eels are being strategic with their recruitment and retention strategy, originally offering Gutherson a lowball $500,000 a season, but have since upped the value.

The hesitation comes from Gutherson’s injury history, having ruptured two ACLs in the past few years so early in his career.

However, Gutherson is off contract at the end of 2019 and will become hot property if he is left without a deal for too long — particularly as a fullback and captain.

The Telegraph reported last week Gutherson is a target for Manly — where he made his NRL debut back in 2013.

Not sure about the same set up .... Maloney and Cleary doing everything possible to get dropped ...

The winning set up ended when DCE became QLDs half in game 3 and Qld stepped up to win the final match

Yes surely the new halves would be Keary and Walker. Is Walker a Blue ? He played Q Cup for a while ? Anyone know ?
Walkers back round

Background
Born in Nowra, New South Wales, Walker moved to Casino, New South Wales at a young age[2] and is of Indigenous Australian"Nocookies". The Australian. Retrieved 2016-03-06.</ref> He attended Palm Beach Currumbin High School[3] and played his junior rugby league for the Casino Cougars, before being signed by the Gold Coast Titans on a 4-year contract.[2]

With the uncertainty about Albert Hoppa, the decision to chase either Gutherson or Will Hoppa seems logical. We need a top line centre.

Hoppa would be more suitable for our Salary cap situation and would be a great acquisition. Gutho wants to play fb and the big dollars and good luck to the guy .

Lets not forget we have the emerging Shuster , Turbo and the other young guns to secure

Agree there, both been ordinary but can see Fittler sticking - only referring to Tedesco/ Tom T situation....though Tom likely not available game 1 anyways...

@Moops
I like your sense of humour
Broncos rarely lose a player they want to keep.

Has to be J Bird. He's on $1m a season to play 5/8 and he's stuck in the centres.
He could come to us with Broncos paying some of his salary.

Not sure I like the signing if it's him. Not an organiser and is way overpriced.

A player with plenty of promise .He was never the same player when he moved up North .

We can't afford Gutherson and Arko's only said that we're chasing him so the slime have to pay overs to keep him.

Has alot of improvement in his game yet to come. But in saying that I would be over the moon with him signing. He is a future origin player and a few yrs will be near cream of the crop of centres in the game in my opinion.
Plays centre and second row . Speed and power . Powerhouse player and he is still only 20 years of age . As you say , plenty of improvement in him

Sound defensively as well, only thing I've picked up about his game in his short NRL career is he can force a pass or make a silly ofload at times when not needed but decision making like that improves with maturity. But yes, it's frightening to think that he is still growing and will only get stronger! Here's hoping crushers connection with the Bush gets staggs over the line. Apparently Staggs is very killer like in demeanour, very humble.
