I think he's a far better communicator than what we've had before. He knows his business and Manly's performance this year had nothing to do with him. He walked into a mine field of problems. It will take time to rebuild the ship.

What tangible thing has he done to improve the club, mate?

He's lost a number of coaches
He's lost our head of footy to The Dogs
Brooky Oval is still a dud
The NRL world perceive us as cheapskates
His hiring of anyone is taking forever
Our media is an absolute basket case
The salary cap investigation is STILL nowhere
Barrett has been forced to front the media & Gorman hides (over Gladstone)
Our sponsorship base is regressing
Our home ground attendances are the lowest ever

Not disputing or defending but in the interests of facts.
- the Brookie stuff is further than anyone has ever got it. I know this for a fact. It’s just details wrangling at the moment
- he can’t control the speed at which the nrl does stuff. They’re a complete joke with this cap stuff

I would suggest that the problem is that Gorman doesn't control the purse strings to hire extra staff.

If the owner/board do not want to spend money, there is nothing the CEO can do about it.

Point is Ryan that this season was lost. Filling posts does require time if you want the best available for the job at the price you are prepared to pay. Manly had hired several support staff in the past who have obviously not been up to the task. We didn't need them for this year. We need them for the development of the next season. Gorman didn't cause these problems we have and it seems to me he is being careful and patient in the manner he deals with them. Last thing we need is yet another debacle, because of a rushed job.
