The Daly Cherrygraph

No way it would be announced today, if he has back flipped ( which I doubt ) they'd leave any announcement until the very last hour, giving the Titans no time to mount a counter. And if he isn't back flipping then no announcement is needed.

Anyway seems we are in the running for the Broncos under 20's half, Maloney, Albert Kelly, Robert Lui......have I missed any???....so we will at least have a team in 2016 " of sorts".
I have to say since I saw the footage of the Under 20 Bronco kid combined with the info that Joey is very impressed with him and Bennett is willing to release him to a good team (ie us) I'm not nearly as concerned about DCE.
Edit: which is not to say I wouldnt love to keep him!

I think a few of you were fooled by the Sterlo interview, thinking that DCE was diehard Manly and got shafted by the new management.

DCE may have had a preference to stay at Manly BEFORE he was offered 1.3 by the Titans, but the way he paraded himself around at Cronulla and Titans, and publicly stated that he was "enjoying the process", I don't think the facts stack up. DCE and his management were going to the highest bidder, and anything said on Sterlo was designed to minimise the damage done to DCE's reputation, after it took a hammering.

He was belted from pillar to post on here when he shopped himself around, and again when he announced the Titans deal. Then when Foran left for the Eels and DCE played a staring role in a round 2 victory, the biggest backflip of the entire sage was THIS FORUM! All of the sudden we all love him again, and feel sorry for the way he was treated by the club, etc.

I'm not buying it. I hope he does backflip, because he is better than anything else on the market, but the idea that he bleeds Manly, and this situation is all managements doing, is really stretching the truth.

We would of had far more chance of him backflipping if the deal was done similar to what management of the Warriors have done with Issac Luke. The first you heard of it happening was hours before it was formally announced. No leaks, all done behind closed doors.
AKA the Peter Peters scenario.

Yup, we'll know.....June...the....something or other. 🙂

and dce ignored a deadline and ignored it for 48 hours. In effect he pulled his own offer (no innuendo intended)

The offer was a reduced offer that reflected the fact that Kelly and Penn took Foran's perenial bull****ting around as reflecting an earnest desire to stay and threw everything but the kitchen sink at him. This included a harebrained idea to dump club legend Toovey and parachute in Foz's latest man crush Brad Arthur as coach (FMD!) At the same time they chose to jettison DCE in order to make these lavish offers to Foran.

Foran waited until DCE was gone before announcing what nearly everybody but our management seemed to know: he had signed with the eels. In holding out this announcement until DCE had left, foran had thus saboutaged the opportunity for the club to make DCE a viable competitive offer. Clearly, foz has a vendetta against the club, as indicated by the fact that he's barely played a decent committed game since last Augustt and his girlfriend saw fit to send a tweet about 'karma' on the day he announced he'd signed with the squeals.

Kelly and Penn had just been played into making one of the most stupid decisions in the clubs history. They're now running around trying to salvage their reputations by offering DCE what they should have offered in the first place. Only now its likely to need to be a lot more. DCE as far as I'm concerned comes out of the whole thing with his reputation intact.

If you want a villian in the piece its Foran, who similarly fluffed about and compromised our season in 2012 when the Dogs were after him. Despite all this 'leadership potential' crap, the guy clearly has character issues. I'm relieved he's going, not the least because personally I think he's an overated player and the desperate cargo cult eels are gonna find that out next year. Losing DCE on the other hand - twice as valuable a player than foran: there's nothing Penn or Kelly could do to attone for the immensity of that disaster and their own stupidity in making it happen.

Lussick future dependent on Paulo

Darcy Lussick is hoping Joseph Paulo can make a successful comeback from a 9-week suspension at Parramatta because his own career is riding on it.

Lussick wants an immediate release – before June 30 – to join Manly or Cronulla, who are both desperate for more size and strength up front.

The Eels have said they want to wait to ensure Paulo comes back strongly before making a final call.

That would be nice.

Joseph played city vs country.

Some of what you say is probably correct, but I tend to think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. DCE and his management played our club just as much as Foran did. He shopped himself around publicly, and went to the highest bidder; that is a fact that cannot be denied. He went on Sterlo and told the RL world what they wanted to hear, and many of us bought it; I don't.

According to Manly, there was no initial offer, so that's taking the DCE camp's word over the club. The only reason a deadline was put in place in the first instance, was because we had a game coming up, and he was spotted at two rival clubs in the weeks leading up to it. It was always stated that negotiations would open again once the season was underway.

Negotiations have indeed opened up again.

Absolutely, Darcy would be a great pick up. Bring back another junior to the fold. He never really wanted to leave but the Slime offered him way overs and Manly couldn't compete.

I think it was more Manly were smart enough to not match the deosntmatta offer for darcy.

We let him go to de-value, now we can get him back.

Yep bet he's on less money coming back, I seem to remember that the time him tweeting when asked by a fan why he was leaving, and his response was BIG$$$$$$$$$

he also tweeted telling us fans and silvertails to more or less get effed

Left manly a promising player with some offloading skill. At parra became an aggressive defender with an attitude of getting into the fight rather than getting into the game. Parra dumbed his game down. Hopefully at a different team, they might actually try to develop something other than aggression.
