What I mean is, he wouldn’t have gone through the ugly split with Manly, to end up overseas. If he intended to go there all along, the narrative around his departure from Manly would have been very different, I.e. I’ll never play against my beloved Sea Eagles, it’s just time to finish up in the NRL and enjoy a year overseas with the family. He’d leave with every Manly fan’s blessing. Instead, he went the other way, which tells me he is off to the Roosters.

Like everyone else I fully expect him to sign with the Roosters, but I wouldn’t be that surprised if he went to SL. If they offer more money and Nick forms the view that the Roosters don’t need him (both of which are quite possible in my view) then it could happen.

My point is that two parties contribute to a relationship... power dynamics and egos generally play a pretty big role in a group setting too...

imo there is no "he is this kind of bloke" as that realistically translates to "he is this kind of bloke with me" and the expressed opinion rarely accounts for the actions or misconceptions of the commentator...
