The Daly Cherrygraph

Don't forget the blitzkrieg of bombs from 40m out that are too deep for the chasers and go uncontested game after game after game after game after game after game ..... you get the picture. But every now and then ..... elite.

He is the Peter Foster of halfbacks
I usually agree with most of your criticisms of DCE but those bombs are called cage kicks and they’re not always designed to be contested. The game has changed and a bomb is not always an attacking strategy, rather, a territorial tactic. The bombs are designed to land as close to try line as possible and the defenders are hoping to make contact with the catcher simultaneously; effectively nullifying any momentum to begin the ensuing set. Occasionally, the chase will be good enough to contest and sometimes do, but to land a more shallow bomb will often see a handling error from the contest, with the opposition often gaining possession in more advantageous positions.

I think there is an understanding of this tactic and when it needs to be used. But there is a clear distinction between this defensive tactic and our ability to turn a certain % of these kicks into opportunities to attack the ball or player

DCE has oku the x basketballer and proven jumper and saab outside and how often they get to compete for balls from close range because of a lack of hang time or too deep which can be another symptom from the same. Not enough focus by the kicker to use these weapons

Dce has always had issues with his short kicking game , his grubbers close to the line hit legs and rebounds for 3 years straight before he shelved it . Happy gilmour

Classic example on the weekend chip kick to saab, clean catch …..nothing
His chip kick is gorgeous off the boot but his insight as to where it needs to land ,honestly this is not a skill he has, those wide kicks to wingers, always too short, that vision. Its not there despite his sweet boot

I remember when dce and the shoe went to kick camp with an AFL team and there was a chez interview later was on how good it was for the shoe and his development . Man could he improve

Seibs has improved his positioning a lot , under des he was virtually kicky 90% using the bench and camera man as a shield.

I think fogerty will improve this area of our game

I have no idea why we kept kicking for Saab he isn't fit to clean Daniel tupous socks

LOL - DCE & Quade Cooper. What a ringing endorsement for a sports drink. I'm expecting it's just water, hyped up and in fancy wrapping, but essentially just plain old average water that you will pay too much for. Much like the game of the 2 endorsees - average and overpaid
I thought exactly the same ..... that's a business failure for me.
