I usually agree with most of your criticisms of DCE but those bombs are called cage kicks and they’re not always designed to be contested. The game has changed and a bomb is not always an attacking strategy, rather, a territorial tactic. The bombs are designed to land as close to try line as possible and the defenders are hoping to make contact with the catcher simultaneously; effectively nullifying any momentum to begin the ensuing set. Occasionally, the chase will be good enough to contest and sometimes do, but to land a more shallow bomb will often see a handling error from the contest, with the opposition often gaining possession in more advantageous positions.

Someone earlier called him Forgery but I think that was probably an autocorrect.

Wonder if the club can arrange to play a few bars of Creedence next season every time he kicks a goal or scores a try?
