The Daly Cherrygraph

Your hyperbole is inapt and annoying. I doubt there's anyone here who thinks Seibs is the best coach in the land. That doesn't mean everyone wants him sacked immediately.
But seeing as you do, who are you going to try to sign as coach?
I never suggested the “like minded gang” believe he is the best coach in the land, so that is disingenuous hyperbole, which I too find annoying. I have simply suggested the gang refuse to accept that he is part of the problem and that replacing him would put us on a better path.

I don’t have a strong view on a replacement, but I do believe we should go through a proper selection process that includes inviting applicants to pitch for the job, as opposed to simply anointing Michael Ennis. The process should then identify a shortlist based on what the club believes are key ingredients for our future success - junior development, recruitment objectives, playing style having regard to the current playing roster etc. I would also never have sacked Des.

I would also never have sacked Des.
Whether Seibold is punted or not, I don't think we need to link him to Des. Dessie's time with the club was well and truly up, and he was failing just as hard - if not harder - than Seibold is failing now. And there's just no point in looking backwards: "We should never have sacked Des" or "We should never have sacked Tooves", etc. We need a way forward. I wish I could tell you who or what that way is, but none of our options are looking great right now.

Agreed. I wasn’t suggesting we go back to Des, just that I disagree with him being sacked, given the decline was instigated by matters outside his control ie pride gate.

The club has been f#cked since 2014.... no one could of survived under this current regime. Apart from that, Des should never of been allowed back after he walked out on us. Just shows and confirms what a sh1t show our owner runs.

I don’t disagree, but the owner ain’t going anywhere, so I prefer to focus my ramblings on things that have a chance of changing.

Mate, as you well know, there are a few people on here who refuse to believe Seibold is part of the problem. They know who they are and I suspect an intelligent guy such as yourself would also know. It no doubt includes the 18 people who voted no on the sack Seibold poll.

I thought you’d enjoy the irony of the cult reference.
I'm assuming you are referring to me... I am not an ardent fan of Seibold, rain, hail, or shine, in fact quite the contrary. I am of the opinion that coaches shouldn't be scapegoated for every problem in daylight, and there may be other reasons for things other than the coach.

Someone who is a true ardent defender of Seibold, wouldn't be of the opinion that Des's sacking was a load of BS, that wouldn't fix any of our structural issues. I believe I was right in thinking that then, and I retain that opinion. Des should still be our coach in a just world, but unfortunately this is the world we live in.

I haven't consistently been the Seibold fangirl you seem to tag me as. This might come down to you rejoining recently. For your consideration, I am willing to organise a wonderful compilation of my Seibold-bagging posts, from the time that I joined this forum.

The difference with my posts, is that no idiotic mass was calling for his immediate termination with no replacement, at those times. I am fundamentally opposed to scapegoating (unless I'm on the piss), and even more opposed to mob rule.

Unfortunately, it's often that twinkle dee and twinkle dumb, are the testosterone fuelled numbnuts who are calling for his termination out of nihilistic passion, instead of evidence and reason. I had you as being objectively a lot more reasonable, but this branding of everyone who said "maybe we shouldn't burn down the club again", including myself, as Seibold fangirls makes me seriously doubt that.

No, I wasn’t referring to you. All good?

I must say there is one trait Seibold exhibits which I find extraordinary. The ability to attract adulation from a small (yet dwindling) cult of worshippers, who are determined to believe in him, despite all evidence to the contrary. This cult seems to have more belief in his abilities than even he does, given his stated intention to give “coaching” away completely.

The ability to maintain this cult following whilst simultaneously battling disinformation from evil media billionaires determined to bring an end to his coaching career really is extraordinary.
Oh here we go again - anyone not agreeing with everything you say about Seibold & not joining the pile on with insults of their own are cult followers.

What a drongo you are.

It must be really relaxing, going through life as simplistic as you are 😂

Well said.

The same like minded gang can say whatever they like against DCE, yet when one brings up reasons to explain why DCE is leaving, ask for proof.

If they watch and read the last 2 months of media stories, it's reasonably straight forward that DCE believes Seibold cannot coach and that is why he is leaving.

And DCE is not the only senior player who thinks the same way. But don't worry,Seibs will resolve it with 7 minute quick pep talks with all the players 🙄 🫣

Yes, the hypocrisy is strong with the gang. Their passionate defense of Seibold against any criticism is both admirable and unfathomable.

No one cares what DCE does or thinks anymore! DCE is the problem … Seibs was doing ok before DCE became a national show pony!
