The Daly Cherrygraph

The 400/500K was what the NRL would have allowed Manly to sign DCE as a one club player and veteran service.. but that would only apply to Manly.

The Roosters or any other club would not be allowed to sign him for that.. and as he was offered $750k by Manly then the NRL most likely won't allow his contract to be a lot under that figure.. under yes but not by 200/250k under..no
Regardless of what’s put on the cap, you can bet the Roosters will be paying him in handshakes and paper bags so it’s a moot point.

So is it possible that Manly offered him that 2 year $750K deal to fu*k him over elsewhere so that they (as in rorters) can't sign him on some bullsh*t $300-400K deal with all the rorting 3rd party deals behind it ?? If so it's a master stroke.
That would be amazing if true & would also explain why DCE went public apparently before Manly made a formal offer, & also why Manly apparently made a rushed offer on air to NRL360.

according to that snake Weidler & the NRL360 hosts (even though that was dispelled as BS soon after, as the club had apparently made their offer at lunchtime that same day).

It would also explain why Moses didn't even look at the Tigers offer to Galvin - but surely that couldn't be a binding thing, an amount a club offers a player automatically means any other club has to offer the same or higher to get that player?
