The Daly Cherrygraph

Cleary was clearly outplayed over the 80 minutes tonight by DCE.

I agree DCE's first half was ordinary, but Clearys wasnt much better. DCE towelled him up in the 2nd half.
Cleary kicked on the third for no result.
Cleary attempt ted a 40/20 which hopoa kept in, but was judged touch.
Without that bad call Penrith don't score and Cleary didn't okay well

Sure, with a plethora of restarts, penalties and possession in our favour.

What does Hughes, Cleary, Trindall do when they have all the momentum? I'll give you a red hot tip....it isn't kicking possession away on tackle 2, 3, and 4...they build even more possession and momentum, not piss it away
Hughes and Cleary have been part of almost perfect machines for the past 6 years. That allows them to control the narrative. Trindall? What's he won again?

Think Seibold was alluding to the fact DCE has been carrying an injury last few weeks. Probably that back issue. Certainly explains his form since then. Last night definitely much improved let's hope it and the Turbo return continues. Whatever he's doing next year who cares now. Just get on with winning.

Correct. Said DCE hadn't trained much in the last few weeks as he's had 'some niggles'. I thought that was rather telling, as we'd been speculating on here the reasons for his poor form - some suggesting he's still been recovering from his back spasms in NZ. Now it seems they could well be true.

Recovered in time for Origin, same as Tom. I'm just glad we're not having to do the usual magic round weekend sacrifice to the Broncos. Amazing how it's never a Broncos home game too. The bias towards them is criminal.

That was a beautiful play. Just perfection. They need more plays like that using Tom as the decoy. Whoever the poor panthers player was got exposed badly sitting on Tom
If it's a well rehearsed move and everyone does their job to perfection then it's very hard for the defence to stop. And can you blame anyone for targeting Tom?
We did the scrum move last year when Brooks popped the ball up seemingly to no-one and DCE ran onto it. In interview they said they had tried it a few times in training and it hadn't worked out once

Tom running the outside shoulder, Haumole running at the inside shoulder and Koula through the middle. Borderline unstoppable.

Agree but wouldn’t it be just if all the bull**** pushes his value down and he has to take a lowball offer somewhere in a loser team.

I’d love to see that.

Options for D C E would seem to be on the very limited side right now .
Not even sure if the Roosters would even be definitely interested at this stage with that young or emerging half making an apparent good impression recently , Sandon Smith going apparently well again and Sam Walker on a longer term deal already .
And really could not see a million dollar offer on the table now anywhere
Manly evidently offering D C E 750 k recently to stick around for 2 years
Wonder if 800 K for 2026 and another in the club"s favor would be a worthwhile option .
No doubt Fogarty is or seems to be in quite good form at the moment , wasn "t paying much attention to his game when Manly played the Raiders at Brookie a few weeks ago but did not seem to stand ou that much even allowing for some limited possession for the majority of the i st half for the Raiders .
R L or player allegiances , a pretty fluid state of affairs in many aspects these days so a change of heart for D C E and if the circumstances permitted , no big deal really

**** Shayne Hayne …he came out a few days later in the telecrap apologising to manly fans and it wasn’t just the forward pass that he missed , there were a few other howlers of decisions

The blatant forward pass and the SBW fairy tale grand final win was great for a PR stunt plus dessie should of left a underdone Wolfman out of the side just back from injury and we probably would of snagged the win without the mistakes!

Wasnt Tooves the coach 🤷‍♂️

Yes. If you listen to Watmough, during the week the senior players did not want Wolfman to play in the GF due to form. They wanted Hiku to play against Tupou.
Tooves said no and the rest is history. Wolfman had a worse game than Hayne and we lost due to him being owned by Tupou.

After this the senior group lost faith in Tooves. Then came the Glenn Stewart debacle.

Hey I believe you.
Though I think I recall Jorge scoring a try in that match, must have dreamt it.
