The Daly Cherrygraph

I don’t understand why or how DCE saying which club he is going to will make any difference to the playing group. They know he is leaving, does it matter where? I certainly don’t give a ****.
People leave everyday, for many reasons and sometimes managers are seen as the bad guys.

DCE made himself front and centre and if he didnt look bigger than the team, he at least looked seperate to them as he clearly spoke of his manly fracture

I just figure it goes under the “No Dickhead policy” which we try ti hang our hats

His on field since has been overall insipid after his big game in the limelight and shop window directly after DCE TV

Only 6 months ago Tom was offering a paycut, and eventually that could have led to the retention of DCE only for DCE to chuck the ball to turbo every time he takes a breath and to back up and clean up off his broken body

Overall though it may reflect within the team how he is seen . Maybe the leadership group have listened to a plan around him and his admissions or honesty may have hot been forthcoming or transparent. Who knows but there are many ways he could have sunk a leaky boat

Just for some stats to confirm what your eyes are telling you...
Not sure about clocking off, but I watched most of the first half of the Sharks game and was surprised at how much of the 6th tackle kicking etc was going to Brooks.
I actually wondered at the time if it was a specific plan - to give him more responsibility to see how he handles it, or because DCE was hurt/under-the-weather/not in the mood or something.

It is ongoing as the first question asked to the club each week is what is DCE doing next? Since the announcement he and the teams form have nose dived! It needs to be stop!
Ok, but I’m still not sure how DCE coming out and saying he is going to the Roosters is going to make everyone play better. The only solution I can see is for seibold to make Jake or Tom captain, so that DCE is less in the spotlight. He can always say it’s for DCEs benefit. He won’t though, because he lacks the confidence/authority to make such a bold call. With Jake or Tom captain, we can start down the post DCE path sooner. If DCE doesn’t like it, so be it.

Its been happening for a few weeks. At first i considered his calf injury may still be causing him grief but he still puts the odd one up which kinda blows that theory

Not sure announcing a new club would stop it.
Anyway, NRL is such a tough season he still may end up retiring, at 36 is he starting to look a bit bedraggled already and it's still only April?
If he does retire... he'd have stained his club legacy for nothing!!
The bedraggled bit could be, because he's now having to make more tackles now.

I am certainly no DCE fanboy, and I wish he'd handled the whole situation with a bit more respect for the club and his teammates, but it's a bit of a copout to blame his departure announcement (or non-announcement, or whatever the hell it was) for the drastic drop in form of the team as a whole. They've all played like busted ar*eholes, not just Cherry.

I do agree with the footy component but in a world where the 1% make a huge difference its about a 5%. And not another burden this team is capable of carrying due to the mental fragility ironically overseen by the man of the moment

I think Tom would help . He just takes ownership

Definitely a fit Tom would help, but yeah good luck with that 🤞🏻

Those Warrior game back spasms don’t magically disappear at an older age so he may be closer to the end than we think.
