The Daly Cherrygraph

All he had to do was say that was what he was doing - "I'm doing what's best for my family" just like Dylan Brown recently said of his move to Newcastle.

Sure there would have been criticism levelled at him but it wouldn't have dragged on for as long as it has - on here you can see most aren't that bothered by the fact that he's actually leaving as it gives us the opportunity to start bringing balance back into the squad by not having his huge contract restricting us.

Instead he's left us all mystified by saying he doesn't know what he will do, when it's patently obvious he's seeking one last big contract. Why be so coy about it all?

Add to that him appearing on 100% footy but not wearing Manly gear & not advising the club beforehand he was going to do so & you have a lot of doubt & uncertainty about what exactly is going on.
@Bearfax I notice you've replied to everyone else's posts but mine?

I'm willing to do that and often do when I see the point being argued with sufficient evidence (if you look LC), if others concede that perhaps I have a good point. Works both ways. I will always concede to another point of view if backed up with good proof of that position, otherwise its all just personal conjecture.
The evidence is his appearance on 100% Footy and the ensuing fallout that manifested in a public tit for tat, accusations of a smear campaign and a media firestorm with no winners.

But has he handled this improperly or is that just how you see it. He came out and announced to everyone his intent. Didn't try to hide it. Let everyone know his intent clearly. I would suspect he will most likely at some stage later thank the club and supporters for his involvement in the team. I mean he's still playing with us until September. Are we all going to spit the dummy like Parra supporters boo him on the field. We have players contracted with our teams for a set period. That's the agreement. There are no caveats. Loyalty only ever applies when both parties are contented. Fact of life. Get over it.
I’ll be interested to see if Fogerty handles his contract negotiations in the same manner!

It appears @Bearfax thinks there is no possibility of any harm to our season or to the club's reputation from Daly's actions, nor any harm to Manly supporters, aside from those who have 'overreacted emotionally'.

Which is a convenient way to completely disregard approx 1,800 comments here in the last 2 weeks by Manly fans!

After the past week's performance from Trump, that's looking more like a Sh*t Sandwich. But I digress.
The stock market does not affect the short market supply of high demand and high value Elite halfbacks in the NRL feathered fried
Elite halfback like D$E are worth more than Gold .

As for Trump, His Mind games are keeping his competitors on their toes
Notice how the stock market is back up again?
This is because you can not keep a good Man down

Might be better if D C E does not disclose where he is likely [ or definitely ] heading until seasons end .
And if he has already committed , probably will just cause even more consternation on the background and controversial aspects to his publicly stated positions if it is disclosed anytime soon .
Bottom line again , he will not be at Manly after this season and best to just get on with it all round and particularly for team harmony

Maybe refresh your feed on the stockmarket - think you are on 24 hour delay

I’m all for respecting other people’s opinions and accepting that people see things differently but there’s a point where it feels like clinging firmly to a position, in spite of very compelling alternative perspective, is arrogant and egotistical. Then to imply that there is no evidence even when it’s slapping you in the face…what more can be said?!

Not much. Except keep looking, there's gotta be some evidence around here somewhere 🙂

I’d prefer he announced it now. Otherwise the media will speculate all year.

Trump is a criminal, openly manipulating the stock market because no one in a position to do so, has the backbone to take him down.

Doesn't surprise me you think highly of him, totally fits.

This would have been the perfect thing to do had he not gone on 100% Footy to make his announcement.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, the only way I see it ending is him getting an early release to stop the impact on the team (which may have been his goal all along).

all i asked was - do you think the way DCE handled his "decision" and the ensuing media circus, was a positive for this season's prospects for the club?
Mestrov was accountable for handling D$Es contract negotiations
But the New Age Manly People Believe that the Manly people running the club are not accountable for anything.
And people that are not accountable for anything have No Credibility what so Ever

Competent Contact negotiators are also great Diplomats and close negotiations harmoniously and close them in house
Mestrov proved his Incompetency in his negotiation skills and it was for all to see
How he managed to turn contract negotiations into a circus soap opera live on NRL Fox and Free to air TV .

Mestrov also said in his solo press conference without his clubs departing captain
that he has no problem with DCE

That was a Blatant lie from Mestrov . He must think we are all as dumb as he is .
No credibility what so ever

Rinse and repeat my guy - you have made your stance known ad nauseum - about DCE and Trump.

You have fallen both for both - hook line and sinker

Thank you for expressing what you think fathered friend
You are entitled to that .

Trump is in a position to do so because he was given the opportunity when he was overwhelming and democratically elected by his people
And he is doing what he thinks is best for his people and his country

Trump is also smarter than all those dumb democrats who lost the election on a Land Slide

Trump Sweeps Presidential Election in Landslide Victory
