I think he's already got an offer (unsigned) on the table, most likely the dolphins for $2mil/2 years. He saw the brown deal and his slimy manager saw the brown deal and used their media lackies they knew would be drooling for a story like this to throw it out there and see if they can do better. I hope it blows up in their faces but likely it will pay off. The broncos could be in play too with reynolds close to retirement.

I am extremely surprised to see the levels of resentment towards DCE, Bozo did the same thing after winninga premiership yet he is still a Manly legend how is this any different? There is always two sides to a story and the management dont seem to be considered. I have alot of family and friends who are Manly members for over 40 years and hold no grudge against him. Solely blaming a player for not winning a trophy is crazy, Manly just like other teams mine included went through ****house management and coaching so there is always many variables. Just my two cents

I did hear a rumour from someone that should know a thing or two that he was keen to get away from Seibs. I didn’t believe it at the time but now I’m wondering if it was indeed true.

What leads me to believe there must be an issue with Manly, whether that’s Seibs, Penn, the Board, is he would have no reason to block Manly from ongoing negotiations. He can take a better post career deal with the Chooks or Dogs, get more money, etc. without telling Manly he’s going in December. There’s nothing to gain in playing Manly this way, other than to send a strong message that he is unhappy about someone or something.

If he loved Manly but had a great post-career option on the table at the Chooks, he’d have no reason to throw Manly under the bus like he did the other night. Instead, all the powerbrokers at Manly would know he’s going on 100% Footy in advance. He did that because he is either stupid or spiteful. It has to be one or the other.

Whenever a top leader leaves any business there are always reasonable questions about the culture of the organisation, the people leading it and the people who were directly managing them. I guess a footy club is no different to that except that there is a lot more fan and media interest. Whatever the reason DCE is leaving it has to be a reflection on the leadership at MWSE which includes Owners, CEO and the coach..... No matter way the club tries to spin it this isn't a great reflection on them or the club. My concern is for the players that are left stuck in the environment.

DCE is a genetic freak who is still playing extremely well, he is worth what he's currently on for another 2 years in my view. The way I see it he was shafted and forced by up top to go about it the way he did.
There is no way he is going to Canterbury i would be willing to make a bet on it too
