Possibly , but a lot will depend on if his version is true or he’s just “ playing us “. If he feels slighted by the club , and all is not well , then yes we are ****ed.

It would seem that all of you are either in two camps

1) the club & Mestrov have royally screwed this and it’s all their fault , Daly is a god and should be treated like one.

OR

2) Dalys a Diva, he’s playing this beautifully to create his media persona, whilst ditching the club who gave him a start , and a record 10 year contract , for what quite clearly is a monster two year deal with the Roosters , which will involve coaching post retirement and a walk up start at Channel 9.

Not sure there’s a third option but happy to hear one.

3) Simply decided its time to "show me the money" and let the bidding war commence. Fu*k Manly, fu*k the supporters let's see who is stupid enough to throw a couple million for 2 years of self preservation football.

What has the club learned since 2015? Do not be reactive and look like you are on the wrong foot.

DCE made this call a while ago and the club new about it. If they were fair dinkum interested in retaining him, this should have been decided at the end of last season rather than at the end of round 3 where our club is painted as shabby.

I am over this, I want to watch 17 guys give their best in maroon and white week in week out. Ten years ago, I saw this circus and it totally screwed our season!

Foran went through the motions, DCE played ducks and drakes and only re-signed when we gave him a desperate offer, Toovey was sold because it was a results driven business!!

No one is bigger than this great club, DCE you made your call, eithe put up or shut up!

Two images keep popping into my head.

In these times of a dearth of good, experienced halves, does anyone truly believe NOT A SINGLE CLUB approached DCE as of 1st December 2024?

I find that hard to believe, so is DCE’s claim of “no formal offers” 100% true, or is he relying on pure semantics by deliberately saying “formal”, as that would entail a written contract, as opposed to verbal discussions?

Either way, it’s pretty sneaky.
