The Daly Cherrygraph

We usually let him play until it completely tears. I’d say tightness is only a couple of weeks rest. I honestly think Tom should only play for max 50 mins a game. Rest him for the first 15 bring him on and take him back off with 20 to go. Almost like a quarterback plays. Protect him against himself
Interesting. Maybe seibs should get one of his analysts to work out how many of turbo's great moves come in the final 10-15 min of each half?
Don't even need to replace him, just hide him in a less demanding spot when his body starts creaking?

Gotta say its time we came to terms with the reality that Tom's body will not hold up to 80 minutes at fullback week after week. He played well for NSW and Australia in the Centres. We just need him on the field wherever he is and this rigidness about him playing fullback is just reproducing the same outcomes. Hoppa to fullback and when Tommy returns I'd pick him at centre and move Rueben back to the wing. The problem with our Jekyll and Hyde forwards is problematic but last night they were gassed after we kept turning over cheap possession and and started conceding six agains. Our backs were the culprits in the first half turning over cheap possession as our execution was poor.

Back to the thread title, I really felt sorry for Cherry last night. I believe if anyone could've got us a win with 7 mins to go it would be him and he bravely tried to overcome the pain and stay on but it was too much. He looks after himself (he has to at his age) and prides himself on his fitness and to see him grimacing like that was sad. I hope he can get back to Sydney without too much discomfort, get appropriate treatment be back on the field sooner rather than later.

LATEST: DCE should be sweet for next weekend after corked calf left him running differently, which increased load through his hips/back

‘There was no impact injury — and no sniper in crowd’

Tommy Turbo had tightness in lower back/left hammy — going for scans🤞🦅
