Lol, error ridden football is never out outdated! In 2022 we have gone backwards at a rate of knots playing a outdated style of error ridden football
Nothing new hereDCE involved in PLENTY of bloody amazing things here today / tonight (I understand who the opposition is of course before anyone rips into me) :
Match Highlights: Australian PM's XIII v PNG PM's XIII
The Australian Prime Minister's XIII take on the Papua New Guinea Prime Minister's XIII in their annual fixture at Suncorp Stadiumwww.nrl.com
Which PNG players with ability from memory stood our for you feathered friend ?The PNG side was entirely reserve graders (Q Cup) but a few of them seemed pretty willing and good leg speed. Wonder if our recruitment team were watching, hopefully not all on holidays
Be very interesting to see how Condon, Tuilagi, Boyle, Bullemor, De Luis, Sipley, Croker and others go against those decent teams
The Croker player of the year perspectiveCroker, whilst I agree in the long term would be good to upgrade on, was still our player of the year this year.
I've seen you mention this (or similar) a few times but its likely of the 7 you list only 3 ......maybe at a stretch 4 would be in our top 17 and Croker, whilst I agree in the long term would be good to upgrade on, was still our player of the year this year.
Like saying, interesting to see how the Roosters go with Naiqama , Carr, Thomas, E Butcher, Atoni and Watson against the big teams...
In order for us to step up next season we need our forwards and Hooker to step upProbably right. I think it'll be:
08. Josh Aloiai (career ave. 97 metres)
09. Lachlan Croker (career ave. 32 metres)
10. Sean Keppie?? (career ave. 69 metres)
11. Haumole Olakau'atu (career ave. 99 metres)
12. Kelma Tuilagi (career ave. 63 metres)
13. Jake Trbojevic (career ave. 117 metres)
14. Karl Lawton (career ave. 42 metres)
15. Taniela Paseka (career ave. 89 metres)
16. Toff Sipley?? (career ave. 69 metres)
17. Ethan Bullemor?? (career ave. 63 metres)
18. Ben Condon (career ave. 44 metres)
19. Kurt De Luis (career ave. 48 metres)
20. Morgan Boyle (career ave. 67 metres)
In order for us to step up next season we need our forwards and Hooker to step up
and to lay a winning platform with better metre milage than that
With moderate performance stats like that it will be difficult to out perform the top performers
We are what we plan ahead feathered friendI mean, I guess it shows we aren't TOO far distant to The Chooks though. One or two additions (or improvements with greater game time), we are almost there, right?
You can add The Cheese and Barnstorming Brendon Smith to that Roosters Ranking listRanked
S Taukeiaho (career ave. 135 metres)
Lodge (career ave. 128 metres)
JWH (career ave. 118 metres)
Crichton (career ave. 118 metres)
Jake Trbojevic (career ave. 117 metres)
Haumole Olakau'atu (career ave. 99 metres)
Josh Aloiai (career ave. 97 metres)
L. Collins (career ave. 90 metres)
Taniela Paseka (career ave. 89 metres)
V Radley career ave. 84 metres)
Butcher (career ave. 82 metres)
Sean Keppie?? (career ave. 69 metres)
Toff Sipley?? (career ave. 69 metres)
Morgan Boyle (career ave. 67 metres)
Ethan Bullemor?? (career ave. 63 metres)
Kelma Tuilagi (career ave. 63 metres)
Tupouniua (career ave. 58 metres)
Kurt De Luis (career ave. 48 metres)
Ben Condon (career ave. 44 metres)
Karl Lawton (career ave. 42 metres)
Lachlan Croker (career ave. 32 metres)
Verrillis was only a back up at the RoostersFor the record - Sam Verrills is actually at 30 metres on average, and people say he's a great runnign hooker. That's less than Lachlan Croker. I didn't put C Watsons stats in their because he's mainly a half and lock, and comparing him to Croker and Lawton would be unfair.
Forward Muscle up front also lays the platform for a halfAgree @BOZO
And the reason I put these stats in a thread about DCE (apologies guys), is that I really feel our flat attacking structure under Des doesn't suit DCE. Look at him playing rep footy. Gets good ball to forwards running from the rafters
Each to your own but i would point out that in 2020 when we came back from covid into Vball and six agains we really struggled.Sadly I don't' have the faith some on here have. I see the Titanic sinking fast after hitting an iceberg and unless the hole in the hull is fixed it will sink. This situation is far different to the first 5 rounds of 2021 the subsequent improvement during 2021 thanks primarily to a freak season by Turbo. In 2022 we have gone backwards at a rate of knots playing a outdated style of error ridden football and are in a far worse position roster wise in 2022 and added to that have a fractured playing group and a battle between those bringing players through the system and the coach. Things don't get better in a toxic environment like that. Things just won't get better without change.
