Just having a read of the Tits fan forum (no, its not a porn site 😛 ) and they actually seem to be taking this rather well. Most are just glad the circus is over and that they can use the money they have saved to buy 2 or 3 quality players.

Part of me hates that this can happen in rugby league.. But to be on the good end of it is pretty awesome.

It will be interesting to see how all this is handled. From the press release, daly's words, media reaction and reporting and the nrl fraternity as a whole, he is hardly the first player to do it. But its manly do in expecting the vitriol to be laid on pretty thick.

Also of note, we probably forced Titans to pay more for elgry in all this, sugned their captain and back flipped their marquee signing. On the other hand, manly seemingly could've had this deal done last year at less expense, doubt we will ever know how exactly it all played out.

Nevertheless, fantastic work by manly. I still don't know how much credit to bestow on penn and kelly. But in sure they played a part.

We have simply increased his offer and given him an extra two years than the Titans using some of the money we were going to re sign Foran. He still knows that he was our second priority behind Foran to retain

This has been a sorry episode for both clubs and the people involved. The NRL once again look like a total joke but at least they have changed the dumb ass rule. I'm glad we won't have to go through this protracted drawn out fiasco ever again.
