The Book of Albert

You've got both clubs correct and two out of the three players.

The use of intermediaries and friends is bringing the art of not speaking to someone about something to a whole new level.

Shares in Wesfarmers will rise very shortly due to the large amount of pen and paper being bought out at the nearest Officework stores.

Well played Ranga.

Not the Dogs, they have 4 legs.
My comprehension skills are being tested, but this is the quote: "The team [interested in young Hoppa] is NOT represented by a mascot of the four legged variety, coincidentally they are targeting a half, a prop and a centre, all from the ONE club".

i.e., The Dogs are not interested in Hoppa but they are interested in a half, prop and centre from one club. lol English classes on a Saturday

I've just read my post, apologies it was meant to say they HAD four legs, i was meant to write it isn't the Roosters who are linked with everyone (i e NOT the two legged variety).

Sorry for the confusion.

Could read it either way. On first read I assumed the "they" referred to "The team" mentioned at the start of the sentence.

Bloody hell I am confused as a Bronco in defense now after reading the last few pages..... Feel like I just played the Chase, who wants to be a Millionaire and Clueless whilst putting a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle together live on Family Feud.

FK I need a beer...

Hold on im so confused so the dogs are after hoppa metcalf and a prop from us? Would have to be AFB as barrett brought him in

Ayyy.. my head hurts

I can tell you with Absolute Utter certainty
that there was no issue about his ability, his fitness or training standards as of a week ago... none. It’s simply Dess approach to not play kids early As simple as that. Some agree, some don’t.Thats Des. I personally don’t agree under the new way the game is played but it’s always been a grey area.Diffetent coaches : different ideas.

And it’s no third hand rubbish or long winded weird email.I coukd notvgive a toss if you doubt it. It’s fact.

If this is about money as this bloke claims the. so be it. Happens all the time with hyped kids. Hyped kids play a dozen games like Creighton and he’s worth 500k. It’s a punt that happens at all clubs all season..Making judgement bets on upside, by the club or the player. Souths made a judgement t call on a 16 year old to the tune of 3mill.

But if you want to judge whst he’s worth to US and not another club then you need to take into account what we have in the squad otherwise... and that iIS a certainty ... slow in effective plodders who have scored nine tries all year.
A club with great backs would either have a no interest or make a low offer. Teams short on outside backs will pay up on the basis of a judgement call. Happens every day of every week so slaughtering Hoppa is ridiculous.
Interesting, but let me call you out,you have claimed to know the situation explicitly with Albert, when the wrong report surfaced here about him re-injuring his knee(it was wrong as the NRL site has had him listed as a knee injury out indefinitely since round 1),you then posted that it was a new injury and knew what was going on.When it was reported to not be true you deleted your post. Why?Don't deny it,because I saw and read it before you deleted it....

****ing Sherlock Holmes in the house lol .I don’t look at nrl injury websites. Would not even know where to go.He had.a bit of a niggle at training apparently.Simple as that. Mitch asked on the site and I said exactly that. Nothing serious at all and I said that.I couldn’t give a toss mate. I post a few things on here that might add some value. Plenty I don’t post too for obvious reasons.

If you knew who I was speaking to you would stfu. The only relevant point is he has been basically fit as a fiddle for the last couple of months and isnt being picked (because your experienced lads are doing so well) . The reason is simple. Our club does not want to rush them. Some agree some dont. That’s a coaches perogative which I happen to disagree with which means nothing.

You seriously think I give a **** what a tosser like you thinks. You want to buy into all the bull**** about Hoppa being a ****wit, not good enough , training badly etc knock yourself out .So far from the truth it ain’t funny.

Ok so who is after hopoate then.. fmd lol
yeah that is the one I struggled with. If Frank Ponissi is ex-Manly is some way, then it is Melbourne. (on the basis that Frank is widely regarded as the best Football Director in the business)

If so then why are Panthers keeping Barrett on, the deal apparently was he wouldn't poach. unless they meant eggs for breaky.
good question, that's a massive risk, but i would imagine that the end of 2020 off contract players would have to be fair game. (I wonder whether it would be illegal for two clubs to have a 'no poach' agreement if it has the effect of lessening competition??)

The last gun fullback the Des brought through ended up going ok, a fella by the name of Stewart. There were calls for him long before his debut as well

Not a bad fella to have on the coaching staff now to guide you through either
He made his debut at 18 and was a regular member of the side just after he turned 19. Same age as Hoppa and Shuster. That was also in the era when young players were bashed, unlike now.
Having said that he was so good no one was going to keep him out for long. Pure natural footballer we won’t see the like of at Manly for a long time. If Hoppa or Shuster are anywhere near as good as him we are in for a treat.
