Team Vs Storm next week. (Pre-Game Day Discussion)

Storm will definitely bring a rise in intensity from us. Can't think of too many flat games against those grubs at Brookie. Will be a good test, particularly if they go 6 from 6 after today.

I was reading this thread, and for the life of me I couldn't work out "wth" was going on. Then I realised "ignored messages" + kevin = explanation.

On to footy though, and Susans nailed it. Should bring out our best.

You involved me in a discussion & disagreement you were having with @susan. That's just petty, immature stuff befitting The Kennel Kevin. While calling someone else out, you draw third parties in, basically to antagonize multiple people & cause conflict.

As @lsz said, susan was just nicely sharing an opinion, and as has been pretty consistent with you of late it appears, you just turned on the post & poster, vilified him, then had a go at me for no apparent reason at the same time?

It's just the kind of thing that will turn people away (as others have previously suggested about your posts, not me) from posting here if viewing the board.

Like I say, people get it. You've stated multiple times your feelings about and towards me, and even in this post I've replied to, you re-iterated it for maybe the 25th time? You think I attack everyone involved with the club. I put it in bold and underlined, to further help you get your point across. Couldn't work out where to increase the size.

I wonder, if I've attacked everyone at the club like you say, why do people pretty high up share information with me? Must be because I'm such a poor fan that just attacks everyone.

It is even more than that - you could be a flat earther for all I care as long you treated people with some semblance of respect

I hope next week we have some different refs because in this storm sharks they are refereeing one team and it ain't the storm.

Man, I'm not attacking everyone, as I clearly illustrated in my last post. If you feel the need to respond to me yet again with another essay then knock yourself out mate. Glad you highlighted and underlined that portion of your post, maybe now you'll be able to see it for yourself.

@susan your a weak supporter and you just show up to vent your frustration. We lost wow, previous 3 weeks we beat quality teams. Sometimes you play a good side and have an off day, accept it. Comeback next game and rectify it. Looking at negative parts is going backwards, only way forward is to be positive.

Ok. Thats fine. I suppose my point is that saying we need a better hooker and five eight to progress isn't negative on our overall team. With better service ,a more dynamic six and a couple of damaging bacrowers we are easily a top four side.
Yeah all good, Hopefully Hastings will come good for us, and obviously we'll see a few signings at the end of the season.

And one other thing, I've seen you involved in at least as many disagreements on here as I've been involved in. And I reiterate "at least as many". I also have no problem stating I know no one important at the club, I'm just a life long Manly fan who loves the place.

it is pretty funny seeing 1 side of an arguement

Totally agree, we are severely lacking in some key positions. Until that is addressed we will not be a force to reckon with unfortunately.

It is frustrating when it is obvious to some and not others like perhaps our coach and recruitment manager.

gavin badger to the bench plus I hope the drizzle play as flat as they did yesterday

Would have loved to see Melbourne win last night.
Not real keen to play them off a loss, but fingers crossed !!

@susan @Turbo1 you boys okay? Need a hug or something? Maybe you boys can go down the pharmacy and get a bulk discount on tampons.. Perhaps buy an ice cream after and talk about your feelings? Meanwhile, if either of you get some mail on Kapow and how long he's out for, that's probably some info the other posters would actually find useful!

It may take a few months to fully heal however he should be OK to play in a few weeks. Seeing how tough he is it shouldn't be too long

Probably picked the worst week to begin bagging our backrow.

Winterstein played his best game to date in Manly colours against Dragons, he was our most damaging forward and looked the most likely. 11 runs for 125m with 3 offloads and 2 tackle breaks is a pretty good effort. Only Marty (115 from 11) and AFB (106 from 11) were able to top 100m in our pack.

Previously, Sironen had been damaging, he monstered Roosters, with one of the best performances a Manly edge forward has produced since Choc prime.

Who do you replace them with, Shaun Lane? The guy who can't make the Blacktown starting team.

The back row is fine, props are fine, halves are fine, backs are fine, hooker is fine.

We had a bad day at the office, happens in every profession.

And as far as Lewis Brown goes, he's on the bench to give Api a rest. Brown has a decent passing game from hooker, and much better defending up the guts than he does out wide. But what about Hastings? You'll all say. Hastings has never once played hooker in his career, and his defence is meh, the yards he'll give up the guts will outweigh Brown's 1 dumb penalty.

Brown provides better coverage at centre and in the forwards than Hastings too, only way I can justify Hastings > Brown is if one of DCE, Green, or Turbo goes into the match carrying a niggle.

Cullen, I could cop over Brown as a bench hooker, again, Brown still has more utility value.

(Not saying he's a better player overall, just he can cover more positions and fits into the current side better.)

This week.

1. T. Trbojevic
2. J. Taufua
3. B. Kelly
4. D. Walker
5. A. Uate
6. B. Green
7. D. Cherry-Evans
8. B. Lawrence
9. A. Korisau
10. A. Fonua-Blake
11. F. Winterstein
12. C. Sironen
13. J. Trbojevic

14. L. Brown
15. L. Perrett
16. N. Myles
17. D. Lussick

(Edit, I don't want to come across as a Hastings hater, that's the furthest from the truth, my younger brother played junior footy with and is friends with him, I spent a lot of time watching them play over the years, I like the guy and want him to succeed with Manly, so was happy we signed him, I just think Brown is better for our team at the moment.)
