When did he shy away? Time stamp? Genuinely curious because I thought he was a tough nut but maybe notyes and Paseka is a bit the same. But gee Bullemor's shying away from that contact last night was not good at all

I will go back and check and come back to you... was not long after JHW came on. I taped the game so will let you know. His face just screamed get me out of here and yes he backed away a bit.. he was lucky because there were two other defenders in the tackle from memoryWhen did he shy away? Time stamp? Thought he was picked on his reputation with the Broncs in 21. He's had 2 trials and 2 NRL games, and apart from his try in support against Penrith hasn't really shown us anything of note...Lol the guy has played like 7 first grade games. It takes time to adjust. Ok like who?? He is obviously ahead of them. hence why he was picked to start. Panthers first up followed by a roosters pack. I'd like to see how other debutants would fair in that situation. Especially in a team that couldn't organise a root in a brothel at the moment
I think you're spot on GE.He just doesn't have 'it' anymore since he got concussed. I think he's genuinely scared to do the hard work as he fears post life footy concussion effects.
I've always liked him, but he's devoid of mongrel now.
It's disappointing but he's in self preservation mode.
Every other forward in our pack has had 1-5 seasons if not more for some. Didn't see anything of note from them either. I'd be more inclined to be dirty at them. 1 one run first half from both keppie and taupau.. is pretty telling. How do you expect anyone on the edges to make an impact??Thought he was picked on his reputation with the Broncs in 21. Its probably more how the game panned out.. we were doing alot of defending, stuck in our half alot of the time with barely any ball. I dont think there is any structure or gameplan that works around your props not taking hitups. I think fatigue crept in. Nevertheless, you want your props putting their hands up and making the tough runs. Leading the way. Its a mentality thing. We are in desperate need of a forward leader.. leading with actions.Genuine question knuckles .. do you think the one run each from our starting props was because they were standing around refusing to run .. or because our structures and patterns didn't put them in a position to run?
Ill have to watch the game again..OK...I take your point about the props not laying a platform, but Bully tends to shy away from the tough hit-ups or that cover tackle that's got to be made. Kinda reminds me of Suli tbh..
Good luck, I don't think I could stand the pain a second timeI
Ill have to watch the game again..
I do remember him making some solid hits though.
Dropping Marty, maybe not such a good idea. He knows this is his last year with us, his next contract will be considerably lower anyway. No real incentive to get back to firsts when you can just coast along with Blacktown Workers. What should we go for forward pack and bench when full strength in hopefully two weeks?
8. Aloiai
9. Lawton
10. Paseka
11. Smole
12. Schu
13. Jake
14. Walker
15. Bully
16. Keppie
17. Davey
Marty needs a dropping to fix himself or at least a bench stint. The bloke is not a starter anymore.
??? Thoughts
I would have thought the opposite if he wants the cash he should perform really well this year so that some team wants to sign him up for a long term contract like walker.Dropping Marty, maybe not such a good idea. Ordinarily this would be true, Walkers 28 though, Marty's 31 or 32, I wouldn't be risking signing Marty on a long term contract (3yrs), it'll be a one year, then see how he goes contract. The "cash" as you say wont be anywhere near 800k, it'll be virtually halved.I would have thought the opposite if he wants the cash he should perform really well this year so that some team wants to sign him up for a long term contract like walker.
My point is that he will command more money if he has a good year than if he has a bad year!Ordinarily this would be true, Walkers 28 though, Marty's 31 or 32, I wouldn't be risking signing Marty on a long term contract (3yrs), it'll be a one year, then see how he goes contract.
