Sadly though the real losers are the Australian people as with no effective opposition the Howard/Downer/Costello morally bankrupt government runs around unabated forcing their narrow and corrupt ideology on the country with the fat cats getting fatter whilst the poor, the dispossessed and the paye taxpayers get screwed. Are we are morally better society since Johnny and his ilk have been running the country. No - and one of the reasons - no accountability as the opposition has been ineffective for years.

Beazleys joke the other day during the reply to the budget about Costello being like a poker machine was one of the best stabbs i've heard in a long time. The whole speach was laced with comical undertones to the point where I watched the whole thing. Absolutly hilarious.

Not sure if it has anything to do with the topic though as im not one to get involved in byso's political agendas.
