Super Saturday trial

SACK TRENT
Only beat a team that finished below us by 2 and they played without Pearce.

Good to see the boys win, Hopefully everyone pulls ok.
If Trent keeps the 2017 win / loss ratio up we are in for a great year.

Can @Ryan get another win / loss spreadsheet going?

Excellent news

Trent said he wanted a win... really sounds like we have a team this year. That is all we can ask.

Walker knocking them over is good news too. We needed a decent kicker.

Trials don't mean much when you have an established unit that are there abouts, but given how this is a rebuild and the start of something new for Manly, I think a win is crucial for building morale and confidence.

Well done boys!
I've grown to accept over the years that losing in the trials (to good teams) has been a good omen for Manly's season, but what you say is spot on @Snake.

Well, just back from the games...

NYC: Same old, same old.

Reggies: Cam Cullen was dominant until he went off.
Kelly's footwork in space is sublime. Put a beautiful in and away on his oposite. He was a class above this level.
Jamil was excellent when he came on. I'm suprised he is off the bench, this will surely change.
Bainbridge tried hard, maybe too hard tbh, but will play 1st grade this year.
Random Blacktown fowards: really ripped in and played tough.

Roosters fullback...untouchable in attack...reminds me of Paul Shaw.

Firsts:....Blake Green makes the difference. Took all the penalty touch finders, DCE didnt touch the ball some sets...this us a good thing.

Tommy T...has bulked a little...unstoppable again.
Fowards looked strong fit and hungry. Roosters ran over us after 15 mins but we fought back well and had their measure by the end.

Nate Myles stood up to JWH....could be a good sign.

Jake T..foward leader...ball playing again.

Wingers looked strong with ball in hand, but both have hands like feet at times.

All up, very happy with the hit out, no major injuries i noticed, good signs ahead.
Well done TB.
