As a backup to NRL will generally go for Rugby or Super 7's as there are still some Hits, tries ect and confess to being a Hurricanes fan in this game.
Must point out how many grey area's seem to be in this game....at these rucks/mauls especially where often the commentators and even the players who train for it every day are perplexed by the decisions constantly.
Our biggest controversy is the obstruction rule but really it is black/white where if you carry the ball, even on a sweep play inside the shoulder of a team mate and then go behind them, its a penalty....I used to say it should be common sense - but the problem is, depending what team you support, is the way you can find an argument and will always open the door for controversy and add pressure to the refs call....these Rugby boys get away with it every passing movement...leading me to THIS........There were over 50 forward passes thrown......in each game!!
There was 1 try with 3 forward passes and they called it and said "that pass was a metre forward, but great hands...let it go".....kind of funny but if that was against Manly like an outragous NFL pass from the Eels to cost us the game a few years back - would have almost lost another TV.
Yes I realise I have issues and need more self restraint, fact is when the Seaeagles are in action my control is less than admirable....
Morning rant over -off for a run - work - arvo drinks ....and then to watch the Hurricanes smash the Sunwolves....
