One for the footy heads.

Regardless of the DCE non performance in the Knights game last night, and given the available personnel, what would you lot have done when Lehi went down?

I understood the movement of Ben T to centre but when it was clear he was being monstered out there, what changes would you have made?

Really interested in your thoughts because I feel like it was a bit of a chess game where Seibold made his move and the Knights twit countered and Seibold made no other move. Couldn't he have countered with a bit of a left field (I dunno Haumole to centre?) meaning Knights had to change again?

As it was, it was just a Knight move to checkmate.

Garrick to left side where all the damage was being done & Waddell or Burbo right centre on Hunt who was in his 4th NRL would have been the move I made.

The real damage was done when Talau went off for 15 minutes, we had a couple sets on their try line & couldn’t get anything going in attack with back rowers at centre & a fullback that lacks ball skills. By the time he came back on we had been running uphill for 15 minutes & couldn’t recover. IMO we win if Tommy stays on but that’s just hypotheticals & it was embarrassing regardless

Newcastle seen Schiller getting cooked all 1st half & decided to make a switch which won them the game. Seibold sees Burbo getting lit up by Gagai + KPP & decides to ride it out

Crocker to Centre he tackles his heart out and is quicker than the Chromosome kid who did nothing in attack there anyway. Regardless no one would have been worse than steadybo

It's pretty hard when Waddell is viewed by the coach as the third best backrower at the club.

But we can't sign anyone else apparently. There are no other backrowers in all the NRL/Superleague world who can do a job. Superspud has signed Corey "clap my hands" Waddell for those times when we need to overcome the chaos. Clappy is the best we got. Clappy is a happy chappy.

Couldn't think of where to post this so...

After a loss there's much focus on Manly's shortcomings (even more than usual) so I was slightly surprised to find Manly is leading the NRL in several stats

Most line breaks, most decoy runs, most runs, equal first in possession, line break assists, all receipts, intercepts, total kicks, total kick metres

2nd in all run metres

3rd in tries, goals, supports (whatever that is), post contact metres, kick return metres, try assists

(so not totally hopeless)
