EDIT: This isn't about souths game so skip onI think I'd rather go out today than get lapped by the storm in the GF.
What if they beat us 40-0
🙁
We were at our absolute worst vs the storm week 1 and they only just got to 42. We showed in both games against them that we can score when we get to their 20 (infact we technically scored three tries in that final despite our ****ness). We also showed in game 1 vs them that we can make it a grind if we turn up with the right defencive mentality. Combine the good from both games and chuck in the lessons taken from week 1 and there's no way of definitively ruling us out imo.
When two teams play eachother in both rd 26 and finals week 1 we often see the loser of rd 26 turn it around to win finals week 1. Even in 2017 when manly pumped penrith in week 26 we saw the panthers identify where they needed to be better and we saw manly a little complacent in the eliminator - we lost.
All about attitude, confidence (you included Jerry) and lessons.
Go manly, personally hoping we make it to the GF and we play the storm for retribution. Des should keep calling the boys the disrupters throughout the week if we win today. All the expectation on Bellamy's men and we could sneak up and disrupt their plans for the perfect season. It would all be about Des and Trbo stunning the storm and I would love that, moreso than losing to the Rabbits this week and laying down for the storm to breeze through. I want it to be in our hands.
