I'm talking about the Brookvale 'so-called' faithful. With showers forecast for Sunday what is the bet that at least 5,000 people use Mothers' Day as an excuse and we barely top 13,000 for the crowd figure.

Football attendance v Mothers Day Lunch was the topic of conversation last night in my household.

Needless to say i have made very few friends and I WILL BE AT BROOKVALE on Sunday.

We settled the mothers day dispute in my family by my brother being told by his wife he is not going to the football but must instead have a mother day BBQ. My mum told us to go to the football and she will go to my brothers!

I am fortunate that my wife has to go with my two girls to a hockey carnival in Campbelltown!!


Sadly I am home by myself so will be forced to head to Brookvale to entertain myself as they will have deserted me on this most serious day.

Noone wants to be on duty where I work so I am bringing 20 juniors to add to the crowd and work pays for me to enter. Good thing is that the kids are excited that they are going to see Manly. Good change from the Waratarts!!!
