So much to like....

Well I think it's time to take stock after today and point out some great things.

1. DCE. I thought he really took control today. At 18 to 12 the game could have slipped. His field goal was huge and his play and forcing repeat sets (along with green) was awesome

2. Kapow. Is there a more dominant forward??

3. Jake. Off the back of origin he showed Gallen. He is the past, Jake is the present and future.

4. Tommy. Just so dangerous.

5. Walker. What is up with those runs? He did about 7 or 8 where he just hurtled at the defensive line. Something he has been doing all year. Surely his name is somewhere near Lauries lips?

6. Barrett. Whatever he is doing is working. The boys are playing for each other and him and he seems to be instilling discipline as well as some plans (ie get Maloney) and then allow DCEetc to play what they see.

I could go on. And other people please add more!!

There is everything to like, the only things that could stop us are a bit of finals inexperience and questionable depth. Momentum is everything though and right now we have it in bucket-loads.

7. Walkz + Uate combo bromance at its best
8. Siro's lines off Chez - tryscoring freak
9. BJ's legs pump runs, like a locomotive main rod

Good forward pack and outside backs who will take one for the team coming off our line. We know we can go forward now where in years gone past NA
DCE was always going to be great once he had space. May i say after i watched his 1st game in 2011, i was so impressed that put money on manly to win comp. Great team make up to go places

Those missile runs walker was doing were insane. Hard core.

I get a feeling we are building for something special.

This year I feel the Comp is more open than ever. Most years you see a runaway of 2 to 4 teams and you say the premiers will definitely come from those teams. This year I don't see that. This is the year I could see a team come 8th and become the premiers.

Now I'm not saying this is our year either (too early) but my goal is always top 8. and since we haven't made the 8 for the last 2 years I would have been happy with 8th and if we bow out week 1 so be it. However now I think we can do some real damage and go deep into the finals week 2 3 or more.

Look at the teams. Storm? So so beatable. They are regularly conceding 30 points. Roosters? Man for man the best team, but God they give teams a chance. They lack the killer. Sharks? No team has gone back to back for a long time, and this team won't either. Broncs? They lack something. We should fear no one. And watching them today.....they don't! Well done boys.

How lucky are we to have Matt Wright as backline cover!!! Safe as houses under the high ball and goal kicking it no longer hope and pray
Matt Wright has slotted into the team and added so much, his goal kicking is great too. I love how the team is evolving, the togetherness we are seeing and now there is belief. Today was a step up, beating up the Sharks was emphatic and sent a warning to the rest of the competition. There are tougher tests ahead for the team and slowly but surely people are understanding that our club has a solid team that is only going to get better!!

Only thing in our way is Greenturd and his greed agenda. He won't allow us within cooee of a GF.
