And the nrl's "response".

"It was an accident"

If a player is taking a conversion on the stroke of halftime or full-time, Annesley said timekeepers are able to stop the clock with “one or two seconds left before it gets to zero” while the kicker attempts their shot at goal, therefore delaying the siren until after the conversion.

In the Sea Eagles’ game, “It was purely that the timekeeper wasn’t quick enough,” Annesley said.

“It wasn’t a timekeeper sitting up there saying, ‘I’m just going to let this thing go off while he takes the kick’, it was an automated process.” - (garbage, you just said the timekeepers can manually stop the siren)

It likely won’t end any talk of conspiracy theories but it seems the NRL is chalking it up to a coincidence.

Anusley also says the time clocks are automated, except when they aren't. moronasaurus

One doesn't need to add allegedly, that's dead set rubbish. And I don't use dead set frivolously! (allegedly)

I hope everyone takes air-horns to all remaining games at brookie. I mean if they go off... it'll just be "a coincidence".

edit: I mean I've moved on (like everyone else on here) but wanted to point out the lies...the lies! the....lies!!!!

A professionally run league would have a rule in place allowing the player to take the kick again if it was such an accident.

that British Olympic diver got to dive again when a flash went off in the crowd and other examples... but nooooooooooooooooo

Not only wasn't he afforded the chance at a fair kick at goal, the ref allowed gutterbun to push Garrick away and listen to clint whine about a previously video reviewed play.

My heart rate just shot up thinking about how much of a cat clint is so I'm off to watch puppies do cute things.

I'd be happy if its reserved for the Manly - Para home games

Remember Greenberg tried to bury brookvale when the clock was obscured from one angle, v Penrith. Well **** happens at modern stadia too.

Ps I got to re-kick a goal in a high school game because the opposition were walking around under the posts. Still missed.

Not sure the NRL's explanation covers everything. Both halves of the game had tries scored with 45 seconds left on the clock & clearly would be no time left for a kickoff. So how come the fulltime siren went off well before Garrick started settling the ball.

Because the Parra muppett handling the siren didn't care as they had already been smashed by our boys and he wanted to go home and cry.
