You cant have 4 or 5 top line props can you. I think Rocky responded more effectively.

Nah, I don’t mean that. We weren’t making a comparison to Jake. One player’s performance and ill discipline is not lessened because of someone else’s.

I think he is a lot better than any other middle we have had for last few years. Bully and Paseka of late probable exceptions. Not a bad a trio though to take into a GF!!!

Well he’s playing far better than Brbo, Jrbo, Sipley, Waddell, Tevaga…..for a start!

Agree that would be an awesome middle pack that could potentially take us into a GF this year. Will just have to wait and see how Lodge goes next few weeks in Reserves and (hopefully) in NRL. My fingers crossed for the guy.

Ironic that our best 3 middles so far this year (sio, bullymore and Jazz) remain unsigned for next year and cost us bugger all. Jake, toff and alioa nowhere near their impact yet costing close to $2m in cap. pretty obvious where the structural changes need to be.

TBH I think Aloiai has been good when available this year. He's in our best 17 for sure.

I agree on Sipley - isn't a first grader these days

Lodge played 41 minutes on the weekend in three stints, well four if you include half time.
13.29 mins to start then a break of 19 minutes, then back on for 8 mins before half time and off after 13 minutes in the second half, and then back on with over 6 minutes to go.

Penalised for 2 dangerous tackles and one ruck infringement.

Clearly they are trying to get him match fit and doing it slowly.

T K O has the playing style that seems to suit or assisting the Manly mid field play
Can not underestimate his late off load ability as well which may be able to be utilized at various stages as the season progresses
.Holding his own defensively .
Next season is another matter but working out quite well to date and not sure how the cap situation is but maybe a bit of an upgrade if he is re signed .
Guess it just comes down to whether the likes of Brown and Patolo [ maybe he has signed for 2 years ] should also be retained and no doubt Sipley in the same category .
Young gun props in the system seem a way off yet
