OK OK I started the furrie invasion and take over of silvertails.

I quite like brookie as is.

I felt much less stressed about the team’s performance by staying away from silvertails for a couple of months.

The level of intensity, insight, timing and wit I felt I used to bring to this site has waned while I was “away”.

I feel completely unplugged from whatever this team is this season, and may not renew my membership for the first time ever.

Truth:
I find our players slack, lazy, unfit approach boring and un-entertaining. I used to get addicted to the players.

Just over the whole thing. It's depressing.

Truth as well: I'm not going to Brookie this Saturday, because I find the entire vibe flat, the ground announcer grating, the players apparent lack of interest in understanding the Manly culture and on field crap efforts appalling and I have no faith in the coach, captain, trainers, or the silent owners
Truth also: I wish it wasn't this way and its not about losing although that doesn't help - its more about the lack of effort throughout the club

I had a premonition....
It was a bright sunny day...at Brookie!!
In fact - it was...this very Saturday...
Blue skies, the birds were singing, the crowd was a whopping 24,000 and chanting MANLY-MANLY!!
The players came out with eyes like saucers - pumped and ready to run through brick walls.
The forwards ate lightning and crapped thunder.
The backs were all running quicker than Jimmy the Jet.
Manly owned them by 64 - 4......and it could have been more!!

Truth is this ain't gunna happen, but will be happy if Manly sneak home by 1.....

TRUTH -
1) Pi**ed off at the game as a spectacle & the clowns in charge.
2) Can't help but watch and cheer on Manly even though after a thrashing pretend I don't give a rats.
3) Hope we field a competitive team in 2019.
4) This should be on top - Would be ecstatic if Manly won this Salary Cap case more than game we have, or will win in 2018 for so many reasons.

I love how Brookie still has a hill. It's still my favourite ground ever. I hate modern stadiums, plastic seating and giant concrete stairs and how they get all cold and shady. I would much rather just be sitting on a blanket on a piece of planet Earth at Brookie.
At suncorp they put away supporters practically on the roof and I don't need to eat subway or red rooster at the footy.
If geographically or financially possible I would still attend every Manly home game. I would never not turn up for my team because they are down.
I hate losing, hate Greenberg as CEO, hate our spot on the ladder and the situation our team is currently in. But they are my team and despite the odds they'll rise again.....eventually...... and I'll celebrate like a maniac.

Same here Niccipops, would love to be able to go to all Manly games.

Pretty disengaged with this team at the moment and not happy. But would I stop supporting or contributing financially as some are suggesting? Fark no, they are my team through thick and thin. Got to take the highs with the lows.

I became a Manly fan after moving down to the beaches in 2004 - I'd been in rugby league wilderness since 2000 as I just couldn't get behind the joint venture.

I'd previously lived in Cammeray & loved Sunday arvos at North Sydney oval, so felt I'd grieved long enough & liked the idea of having a local team to support again.
