Post-Game Discussion Sharks v Manly [Round 21, 2023]

A weird "game of two halves" though where the team with the wind in their face was the one scoring all the points. I felt for certain we would go to town in the second half.

Those injuries played a huge part in that second half.

We are lucky to have got away with it.

No criticism we lost 3 middles and got hammered by the nrl/ch9 attempts to make it interesting so well done Manly great effort. Sharks are a fuking joke and only up there on an easy draw they've been gifted.

I hardly think Lodge and Matterson have spent weeks and weeks getting used to the Manly system either.

(but you can almost hear the gears of the pessimists scanning for stats to hate this win)

I wasn't so down about last week either,when I saw Keppie and Lodge on the bench I actually tipped us to win comfortably.
Take out those injuries and we win easily.
Bring back the Boyle next week.....dammit.

Congrats to the lads, that first half was sublime, but my god we fell in a hole the second half, we gave them momentum with dumb play and the refs made sure they kept it.

We have so many average players and I still fret for the club from the top down. Still, happy to get the win

I never watched the second half as I had a feeling what was coming. It’s the same old square up story. My blood pressure was better for it. Glad we got the 2 points though as our first half was as good as I could have expected. Hopefully we can learn from this game and go on to at least make the 8. I am not going to expect miracles this year but would love to see us upset a few top sides. Love to see us slice up the dragoons. I hate that side.

At least he was consistent. He gave us all the calls in the first half.

Even Woodsy played a decent role, and boy he needed to. Keppie and Lodge were awesome. Josh Aloia was continuing to regain some good form until he got injured. Croker was a beast, Haumole was a monster, Tuilagi was good. It would have been a real travesty if we lost today. Every player put in.
