My oft-stated view? I hadn’t realised, and I’ve no evidence for that low self esteem thought.
More it’s just something that often causes me to wonder at the reasons. It’s something we all do to some extent no doubt, although for me probably more usually limited to shouting No you fool, or something, while watching a game on tv. I’ve certainly been known to boo at the ground though, although in my own mind at least it’s generally good-natured (but whoever is hearing it wouldn’t know that ,admittedly!)
So to clarify – I do not equate ‘venting’ with death threats. But I do think you can imagine degrees of intense feelings of anger/disappointment/disgust/betrayal (???) expressed in words, at one end being (about someone) He’s hopeless, and at the other end, a direct communication to the person, “I’m gunna get you’.
I’m not anti- venting about footy, but am interested in what makes us (and I include myself) feel such intense emotions about it at times. I’m happy when Manly wins and sad (or even pissed off) when we lose. Then I’m pissed off with myself for caring!
As for the previous identity bit, Lol, nice try! But too late! Everyone saw your comment about how
@Woodsie has changed from how he always used to be, and no doubt that got a couple wondering who you used to post as! So Don’t be shy! And no need to be embarrassed about past stuff, we’ve all posted things we might prefer to forget, haha
