He is not going be anyone's centre given his form at fullback. Hynes has been purchased to play 6 at Sharks next year. Even if the Hynes idea backfires and he is moved to 1, Kennedy would be snapped up by the likes of St George, Canberra, Brisbane, etc. who need a quality 1.
Ok so Kennedy won’t work, (unless Tom become the roving player, I’m not advocating that but it didn’t play out to badly in origin) anyway it wasn’t so much about Will as the combination of $ available by letting Suli and Walker go, then using those funds to purchase a marquee signing that could give us a suitable cover for Tom if necessary and the option of having that roving role for Tom to link up with similar to how he played linking in with Teddy and Mitchell during origin.

Gutherson will get his pay day at Eels and stay in the 1....
His jump in price will have adverse effect on the salary cap and maybe free up players who also will look for upgrades who will be forced out as a result

Be good for him to end up at The Sharks.

Kennedy, Hynes, Gutherson, Moylan is a pretty solid start to a rebuild

Go along with the Suli and walker proposal. But forget Gutho thanks. Fat head with a big ego now, not needed at Manly.

We do need an accomplished fullback that can and is prepared to play centre (to partner Harper) when Turbo is right. Few players have both of these attributes so this limits our targets. Also plenty of big egos in the game that are chasing the big bucks. MInd you I expect most backs would want to play alongside Tommy so anything is possible.

Keep the squad as is, build from within, let those go who need or want to go - i.e. Suli (players who want a run, but are surplus here ).
This is the go, with just a few selective additions, and probably one at most established first grader.
The recruitment this year was our best in ages, they have all done well, notwithstanding we haven't seen Tuipulotu yet, and Davey's bad luck with injury.

Do not need to sign anyone .We should give our own players like Tuipulotu ,Koula ,Weekes ,Burbo ,Fainu ,Tuitavake etc. a run next year for a tilt at the 2023 title .

Despite still living here, and being a local junior, after the way he was disposed of by Manly there's no way he'd come back.

We don't need him and his ego anyway!

Looking at the table below, it seems that we will be signing a couple of new players. It's very unlikely that Boyle, Funa Gosiewski and Taufua will be given new contracts. It's also possible that Sironen is out the door and that Walker might be as well. Personally, I think they will both be still on our books in 2022. Saddler and Sione Fainu are almost certain to be upgraded as their development contracts finish at the end of the season. That leaves two spots for players from other club's open for 2022.
This of course assumes that Suli and Cust don't get released, and that Davey remains with us also. Manase Fainu is contracted through 2022, and I really don't know what the club does with him after that. I would be tempted to resign him for two more years, sooner rather then later. There is also room for one more player on a development contract.

Gutherson is a great trier and is quite skillful and a good player and a real heart and soul trier BUT he is not fast enough or strong enough to be a real top elite game breaking player ( against good sides) . To me he's not in that top bracket of fullbacks and in fact nowhere near.

Not only is he miles away from Tom, he's also nowhere near Mitchell or Ponga or Tedesco or probably a few others I could name.

Good luck to him if Parra pay him top dollar, means they will continue to be a nearly team.

Nope.

He would need to undergo a wankerectomy and I'm not sure we have talented enough surgeons to perform the operation.

He can stay where he is.

Sione Fainu is the front rower isn't he? Good prospect but on the little I've seen his younger brother who is a half looks to be very special. Maybe he moves to Development Contract.

Isnt he 16.....bit early for that.

On Gutho, watch the Eels over pay to near a mil.

On us the squad is looking good but I'm alwats an advocate of one or two new faces to freshen things up.

Nothing huge but just a tweak
