Yeah that sounded so pathetic. Once again, no mention of accountability on his behalf or the players. No accepting that we were rubbish. We need to be better. Just focus on the minuscule positive aspects of the game and obfuscate and blame the schedule. Pathetic.Spoony blaming the scheduling now. How about blaming your clueless tactics, your self absorbed checked out captain and your mediocre recruitment of rejects and cast off forwards.
So what excuses will he throw up when we lose to Penrith after a 9 day turn around. Raiders have managed a worse schedule than ours ok.Yeah that sounded so pathetic. what a surprise he once again said he was proud and that we were in the fight!
sack
That’s an easy one. “Proud of the boys effort, panthers are a top 4 side.”So what excuses will he throw up when we lose to Penrith after a 9 day turn around. Raiders have managed a worse schedule than ours ok.
Saab needs to wind up and get to a high enough speed for him to have any momentum in the tackle. Certainly not effective, but he literally has no other chance of gaining metres. We probably have the worst back 3 in the comp for yardageI actually thought the effort was there last night too. We were depleted in the forwards and lost a player to the sin bin but went down by 2.
The issue I have with Seibs is less about his pride in our effort and more in his tactical approach to the game. How hard is it to coach first graders to play straight in attack?! The sideways business is terrible. I'd sack Hales and bring someone in that is interested in coaching the attack to engage defenders instead of shifting to the edge on every play. Also, who is responsible for Saab standing 10m behind the play-the-ball to receive for a yardage carry? It's happening every week. He should be at the advantage line when he receives the ball.
I would not say you have a team full of **** egos in my view, a few questionable players who have been the discussion the last few years but there is no doubt a decent spine, if Manly were to do a rebuild bring back some of the old school hardarse Eagles, what about Choc hasent he gone down the coaching path? I just look at Tooves compared to Seibold and it is almost comicalBig difference with Doggies is they have a TEAM of winners from top to bottom. Gould, Ciraldo and Laundy all pulling in the same direction, and of course all the players have bought into it. We have a team of individuals with sh1t egos or pulling the joint apart, and have had since 2014.
Look at the bulldogs coaching staff to ours.
Imagine us having a rebuild. Who on earth do we have to do it properly????
Matty Ballin as head coach and Choc as assistant would probably bring back some of that tough mentalityI would not say you have a team full of **** egos in my view, a few questionable players who have been the discussion the last few years but there is no doubt a decent spine, if Manly were to do a rebuild bring back some of the old school hardarse Eagles, what about Choc hasent he gone down the coaching path? He can wind up and still get the ball at the advantage line. The scientific principal of 'winding up' does not dictate when the ball reaches his hands. If he can't time the run so he's winding up and getting the ball at the advantage line, he shouldn't be in FG. I am not asking him to stand flat footed at the advantage line, I am asking him to collect the ball at the advantage line.Saab needs to wind up and get to a high enough speed for him to have any momentum in the tackle. But on Seibold, he is a terrible coach on many levels. His stint with us will end along with his head coaching career
Yeah fair enoughHe can wind up and still get the ball at the advantage line. The scientific principal of 'winding up' does not dictate when the ball reaches his hands. At one point last night, DCE stood 10m behind the play the ball, Saab was another 5m behind him and Daly dished the ball off to him and Saab was tackled behind the prior ruck. It was one of the dumbest things I've seen on a football field.
I've wondered about Hales coming from a high school background. Junior football is so much different.I'd sack Hales and bring someone in that is interested in coaching the attack to engage defenders instead of shifting to the edge on every play. Also, who is responsible for Saab standing 10m behind the play-the-ball to receive for a yardage carry? It's happening every week. He should be at the advantage line when he receives the ball.
At least those 2 know what a winning team needs and how to win premierships. I'd like to see that combination too. Unfortunately the idiots in charge of this club are too clueless.Matty Ballin as head coach and Choc as assistant would probably bring back some of that tough mentality
I don't know about that. I actually think our only way out of this mess is to have more players of the current generation, not less. We're old, especially in the forwards, and we're used to losing and not putting in the required amount of effort.Wouldn’t surprise me. Emblematic of the generation really. Snowflakes.
Also requires having trust in the dummy half to throw the ball in the right spot every time...If he can't time the run so he's winding up and getting the ball at the advantage line, he shouldn't be in FG
I noticed a number of our forwards are able to wind up and get the ball at the ad line. Brown and Sipley both did so on occasions last night. The problem seems to be Saab. Also requires having trust in the dummy half to throw the ball in the right spot every time...
I haven’t watched a Bennett or Bellamy coached side incessantly shift the ball to the edges without going forward or engaging defenders, so therein lies the difference. If I’m honest, I have no idea that it’s Hales fault or Seibs or the guys on the field. I’m just annoyed with the sideways motion of our attack and looking for a scapegoat to blame 😂I've wondered about Hales coming from a high school background. Junior football is so much different.
Then again, there are repeated calls on here to get rid of Dymock because our defence is rubbish.
Which brings me to the question: does every other fan cohort concentrate on how bad the assistants are?
Seems odd to me. I'd reckon those with Bennett and Bellamy as coaches wouldn't give it a second thought.
Fair enough, I didn't watch the whole game. (No resilience!)I noticed a number of our forwards are able to wind up and get the ball at the ad line. Brown and Sipley both did so on occasions last night. The problem seems to be Saab.
Really? Were you upset with their performance and turned it off or busy with other things?Fair enough, I didn't watch the whole game. (No resilience!)
Wasn't enjoying the show.Really? Were you upset with their performance and turned it off or busy with other things?
