I actually thought the effort was there last night too. We were depleted in the forwards and lost a player to the sin bin but went down by 2.

The issue I have with Seibs is less about his pride in our effort and more in his tactical approach to the game. How hard is it to coach first graders to play straight in attack?! The sideways business is terrible. I'd sack Hales and bring someone in that is interested in coaching the attack to engage defenders instead of shifting to the edge on every play. Also, who is responsible for Saab standing 10m behind the play-the-ball to receive for a yardage carry? It's happening every week. He should be at the advantage line when he receives the ball.

Saab needs to wind up and get to a high enough speed for him to have any momentum in the tackle. Certainly not effective, but he literally has no other chance of gaining metres. We probably have the worst back 3 in the comp for yardage

Big difference with Doggies is they have a TEAM of winners from top to bottom. Gould, Ciraldo and Laundy all pulling in the same direction, and of course all the players have bought into it. We have a team of individuals with sh1t egos or pulling the joint apart, and have had since 2014.

Look at the bulldogs coaching staff to ours.

Imagine us having a rebuild. Who on earth do we have to do it properly????

I've wondered about Hales coming from a high school background. Junior football is so much different.

Then again, there are repeated calls on here to get rid of Dymock because our defence is rubbish.

I don't know about that. I actually think our only way out of this mess is to have more players of the current generation, not less. We're old, especially in the forwards, and we're used to losing and not putting in the required amount of effort.

If any members of our team qualify as "snowflakes", it's the old guard. They're the ones who have been here the better part of the last 10 years and achieved next to nothing. They didn't respond to Barrett (fair enough - he's an idiot), they didn't respond to Dessie, and they're not responding to Siebold.

I haven’t watched a Bennett or Bellamy coached side incessantly shift the ball to the edges without going forward or engaging defenders, so therein lies the difference. If I’m honest, I have no idea that it’s Hales fault or Seibs or the guys on the field. I’m just annoyed with the sideways motion of our attack and looking for a scapegoat to blame 😂
