This will go on ad infinitum.
What people are saying is
"boo hoo hoo The coach didn't lose his composure like I do. If I was coach I would rip them to shreds publicly for the media to feed upon for the next week."
Of course this discounts that in publicly humiliating them more than they already were, would lose trust/respect etc with the players (and no that isn't a sign of the generation - whichever person bleated on about that, its respecting your team).
I would also suggest many of the heroes that call for Seibs to "blow up" publicly - have never managed a team (be it sporting or corporate). Its truth is shown by the amount of time they spend on these forums....
Privately is when the blow up works, it shows strength and control.
I guess if you want a coach that is a loose cannon Bellamy is your man
What a load of rubbish, you clearly haven’t got a clue what other people are saying, you just displayed that in your diatribe above.
I don’t want to see Seibs humiliate anyone, but I don’t want to see him sugarcoat the bleeding obvious week after week, some constructive honesty, mightn’t be a bad idea.
I don’t know who’s calling for Seibs to blow up and I certainly don’t know who you’re referring to as hero’s. In my case as I’m semi retired, I feel comfortable spending my time as I see fit.
There’s no real need to blow up and that’s certainly not what I’m looking for, however a little constructive honesty would go a long way, there’s not a lot to be proud of, period, so why on earth would you go about it that way, it’s a bad look, if your proud of our recent efforts then that’s for you to feel comfortable with.
Re your Bellamy comment, did you watch his presser after there loss to the Fins, he didn’t blow up, it was constructive, honest and confronting, if you didn’t watch it, maybe you should and you will get to see first hand what I would like to see from Seibs, it’s called accountability, there was nothing to be proud of and he called it spot on, even Munster measured his own performance with some honest hard hitting truths, very refreshing.
Just so this won’t go on, this will be my last word on his pressers, I’ve pretty much tried to explain where I’m coming from and how I see them, if you or anyone else is happy with the status quo, thinks that Seib’s pressers are good for team morale, unity, whatever it is you think, that’s ok by me, I’ve explained how I feel, how I perceive his pressers, I see them as a pretty close reflection of his team selections, preparations and performance, not really good enough, sorry if that offends.
