Sea Eagles $10M deal to keep Trbojevics

Loyalty to Manly set to cost Trbojevic brothers $3 million

When talks start to get serious between the Sea Eagles and Jake and Tom Trbojevic in coming weeks there will be two points that will be non-negotiable: back-ended deals and third-party arrangements.

Manly have a poor history in regard to third-party deals, including salary cap infringements and penalties. We have heard that there are already a couple of third parties ready to jump in to support the brothers, but unless they are blue-chip companies, they are a risk.

If you listen to league great Phil Gould, that would be a bargain. He thinks Tom, as brilliant as he is now, is a long way from developing into the player he will be one day.

On the open market, a desperate club like the Bulldogs would pay Tom $1.4 million, while Jake could net $1 million. There is a real desire for Jake to be a million-dollar middle player, but that may not happen if he stays put.

Bulldogs chief executive Andrew Hill is yet to table a formal offer, but the Trbojevic family is aware that he has expressed a desire to secure the brothers.

With Manly lacking in football department staff, it appears coach Des Hasler will do most of the negotiating. The Turbos are loyal, but they will not show the blind faith they once would have.t
The sacking of Trent Barrett was their first real introduction to the business of rugby league.

Next week...

Turbo's worth 15 million each! Per game!

Last night when Tom spoke post game he said that Des is an awesome coach and it was great to get the win for him. Also immediately after the team song Jake went straight over to Des and shook his hand. Money is a factor and they will get their payday but at this stage being coached by Des will be a major consideration. Manly are in a better position to have a shot at the title than the Dogs.

They'll get an improved contract and will be staying on. Typical negative news when Manly are winning

How about f@$k off wierdler u grubby bottom feeding “journalist”
Manly will keep the Turbos so stop trying to make up a story where there is no story
“Journalist “ haaaa

So the Bulldogs are going to offer Tom 1.4 million a year. Didn’t they do this with Foran? Am I wrong or are they now offering 500 thousand a year to any team who will take Foz off their hands? It appears having all that pokie revenue in their pockets may be screwing with their judgement. Perhaps they should try developing a few stars rather than buying them.

Bulldogs’ CEO Hill is great mates with Fulton. Which might explain why his name has been mentioned in dispatches as a potential MWSE CEO.

He does’t like Manly though.

The turbos have a balancing act. For them to receive $1m region there are a range of other players, their mates, training beside them, playing beside them receiving $100k to $200k a year. They know the more they ask the less their mates will receive.
If they go to another club that consideration is not as personal.
They are more likely to stay at manly for less money and be satisfied with that.

I would like to think that having Brett Stewart coaching Tom at Manly would also be a huge plus, It is very evident that he is having a great influence on Tom’s game, there are some very ‘Brett’ traits appearing, which is fantastic. Can’t see Brett moving to another club if Tom did

They will sign with Parramatta as a package deal of $25,000,000 over 5 years commencing in 2030.
Until then they will stick around and enjoy success for slightly less as many players do with the successful teams.

Weedkiller and his cronies always death ride our club and they all know that Manly have hit the jackpot with the Turbo family, the fact that Turbo 3 has just been re-signed tells me that the boys will soon sort out their future. Bozo is dead right in his earlier post its about the people in the joint and Manly are once again together as a club and when that happens the spirit and culture take over and ensure that we enjoy on field success. The cap will be managed and the boys will be paid handsomely and go on to be legends of this club and district!!!

Let us put things in perspective here Danny .....

The sacking of Barrett who wanted to quit anyway because unlike Des he offered excuses for his incompetence to get his team up and blamed it on Manly lacking in football department staff .

The reason Andrew Hill is yet to make an offer to the Turbo boys is because his club is also in salary cap shambles . In fact the whole club is in shambles

The bulldogs are a circus at the moment and The Turbos are not the clowns that will be joining them as they are proud Manly boys and are experiencing what it is like to play with the most successful club in the modern era of the game

. A s far as contract negotiations go Danny , You have absolutely no idea what 3rd party deals our club is working on and are just as capable of meeting salary cap requirements to keep the players we want .

You can flush your drama queen story down the toilet . Thank you very much
