Seibolds issue was he lent too much on youth and had no leaders.

All the below were under 23 and got minutes minutes under Seibold. Fifita and Deardon left after Seibold.

Excuses are reasons to justify Mediocrity
There is Nothing inspirational about failing Excuses and Nothing Great was ever over achieved by making them

The Fact is For every Excuse for underachieving there are Inspirational Overachievements
And the Benchmark of Success are the Inspirational Overachievements

The 2005 West Tiger Baby Cubs were rated 150 to one 1 to win the comp at the start of the year because they had the young talent but no Experienced Leadership but they Overachieved and the Rest is Premiership Winning History

Could you imagine our team with a Bellamy “no nonsense “ style coach leading the way instead of this “pussyfoot” approach we currently have.
Bellamy is Inspirational and Innovative.
He set the high standards and has kept the Consistently Competitive Winning Culture for all Generations in all the storms successful years

I keep on saying that the Greatest Asset of Any Organisation are the Great People it Invests in

Seibold set to face ‘hard questions’ after ‘diabolical’ Manly showing, head-scratching call

'Diabolical!" Sea Eagles slip out of 8 | 02:30

Daniel Nuttall from Fox Sports
June 25th, 2024 8:09 am
Questions have been raised over the future of Manly coach Anthony Seibold after the Sea Eagles dished up a “horrific” performance in a 14-0 loss to South Sydney.
In a game veteran journalist Brent Read labelled as “awful”, Manly looked listless in attack without star halfback Daly Cherry-Evans, gun back rower Haumole Olakau’atu, Jake Trbojevic and Reuben Garrick.
NRL360 host Braith Anasta didn’t mince words about the Sea Eagles after they failed to score a point against a Rabbitohs team that was also missing stars Latrell Mitchell and Cam Murray.

They are playing to the crowd on this article... I didn't see them questioning Andrew Webster even though the Warriors are now sitting in 13th, having just been beaten by sixty points by the team who were on the bottom of the ladder.

Heres an opinion that will get howled down.

If we were to move on from Seibold (and I'd only do so at seasons end). I'm not against Arthur but I also quite like Holbrook.....

Okay fire away hahaha
I would take Holbrook..but he is being groomed for the Roosters gig eventually isn't he?

Well, Cameron suggested Tooves. And others have suggested Arthur. I suggested both. Last time that occurred, we were winning plenty of games. Of coaches that have coached 10 games or more, Toovey is 40th - ever ! That's pretty impressive, given there have been 325 coaches (that's top 8-9% of coaches ever).
Arthur Bradley is being sounded out by the Perth NRL bid. He should take it if they are granted the licence.

As for Toovey, it won’t happen whilst ever Penn is mishandling the ship. Or even handling the ship. The subsidiary role Geoff is in now is probably as good as it gets for him.

I agree with Rocky. I rate Toovey and hated how he was treated, but I don’t think he would cut it as a first grade coach anymore. And the quality of the squad now is not where it was at the back end of 2011.

Make Manly Great Again #Hasler2019
Can you elaborate on this one please?

What good junior's left Brisbane whilst Seibold was there?

He issue was he lent too much on youth and had no leaders.

All the below were under 23 and got minutes minutes under Seibold. Fifita and Deardon left after Seibold.

TURPIN,
CROFT,
CARRIGAN,
ARTHARS,

STAGGS,
FLEGLER,
HAAS,
FARNWORTH,
RIKI,
PAIX,
BULLEMOR,
FIFITA,
COATES,
DEARDEN,
NIU,
Mate I got it wrong it was experienced players he moved on then in 2020 after being smashed by the roosters the club put a press release out saying how little experience game wise the time had.

Siebold has tried hard and done some good things but he's not getting the results.

We won't make the 8 this year that's now 3 seasons in a row which for our proud club is unacceptable. He we can boot a two time winning premiership winning coach after one bad season. This bloke should go after two bad seasons.

I'm not sure any other coaches would have done much better with the team selected against Souths, but I would argue other coaches may well have picked a different team....and personally feel we should have.
The big answer is a fat pineapple, as we will never know the result had we gone his way....could have been a great victory or the score may have been far uglier.....but I do know 1 thing, the team tried hard for 80 minutes which is far more than many other NRL teams recently who seem to evade the media whipping, in fact I can't recall us holding up the white flag too often.

And Manly beat the Roosters who thrashed Canberra, but beat Manly, who beat Penrith, who lost to St George who lost to Manly who lost to Brisbane who beat NQ.

What was your point again?

Des's past 5 weeks have been a LOT better than Seibolds. That is a fact.

Manly is going worse than 2023 at the same time.

I agree if we dont make the 8 it is a discussion that needs to be had.

Personally though I think we are still right in that fight.

Hey Ryan - we all love Tooves but he inherited a pretty good team - which I would attribute to his impressive win percentage.

I think it is pretty telling he hasn't been offered a gig since. I think that ship has sailed.
Yeah, it's like saying Ricky Stuart was an awesome coach after one year at Easts in 2002. He was gifted that premiership and to this day remains a rubbish coach.

Well finally the media drums have started beating on this less than average coach. They'll get louder and louder the more the losses build. We miss the 8 then he must go. Seems we're heading down the Parramatta path of clueless mis-management and aimless business planning.

I hate it when players talk about "giving a good account" of themselves or when a coach talks about being proud of the players for working hard in the "effort areas" of the game despite losing. This is the wrong mentality in professional sport. You compete to win. The fans want their team to win above all else, regardless of how pretty or ugly it is. For players or coaches to think otherwise is to breed mediocrity. Enough is enough!

I believe we can win six out of the last nine games (Knights - Home, Titans- Home, Warriors - Home, Tigers - Away, Bulldogs - Away, Sharks - Home) and might lose 3 (Cowboys - Away, Roosters - Away, Raiders - Away). If we win these games (plus add in the byes), we have a really good chance of making the top eight, probably in fifth or sixth spot. If we beat the Cowboys away and only lose to the Roosters and Raiders, we still have a shot at finishing fourth. I refuse to give up hope for the team in 2024 just yet. Where there's life, there's hope.

Knights game will be tough, they will be at full strength, they have nobody from their squad playing origin.

Jake, DCE and Guaca will be unavailable for this game if they are all selected for origin 3.
