Not sure how many saw it but to summarise (from memory) what Danny Weidler said on 100% Footy last night...

- DCE didn't take his call so doesn't know where his headspace is currently at

- DW not sure if Ennis succession plan is still in place

- that Club is supporting Seibold for 2026

- that Club believes other factors impacting results (i.e. other than Seibold coaching)

- that Club believes there is push for Ballin/Ennis to coach from their (shared) manager

- that Club believes that certain key players in Club managed by same manager as B&E are influenced

Take from that what you will and please DYOR.🙂

Don’t Seibold and Mestrov have the same manager? Is this what we’ve become - a bone to be chewed over by rival management groups? Who is looking after the clubs interests as opposed to those of individuals and their managers? If only Arko was 30 years younger.

Huh, I thought channel would have been giving DCE a BJ

Yeah, but Waddell, Lodge and Brown weren't meant to be regular benchies, let alone regular starters.

It's been a crap year injury wise that has impacted manlys season like it or not.

Add to that the uncertainty or certainty, depending which cult you are in as XV-1 puts it, that Seibold isn't getting the best out of the team and isn't the man for the job, its been a write off.

I think if the forward pack didn't get so decimated this year, manly would have made the finals and likely bowed out in week 1/2. I don't feel Seibold can take this team to the next level.
If Waddell wasn't meant to be a regular, who did Seibs have in mind to cover any injury to either Olakau'atu or Ben T? Why was Waddell picked in the round one side if he was just supposed to be filler? Brown was a regular last season as well. The ongoing excusathon is why nothing changes.

I have a feeling Seibold is sticking around to ‘protect’ whoever is assistant coach next year. It’s going to be a Sheens & Benji situation IMO. Assistant will be learning on the job while Seibs takes all the heat.

This is exactly what I’m thinking. Seibs is already in hot water so another year with $2.4m tied up with the brothers spells a potentially bumpy year.
Tony M is protecting Ennis for a health salary cap and big name signings come 2027.
This prolongs any talk of a sacking of a newly appointed coach and saves the club another coaching headache in 2026.

Same dud players selected.
Seibold, you are a disgrace!
You have given we supporters absolutely no hope. Just trying to protest your position. Pathetic.
Fellow fans, do not turn up to Brookie this Saturday. This coach, and most of the dud players, don't deserve your support.

Would Waddell have been picked if Josh Aloai had been available? Brown earnt it last season, this season injury and form often didnt get him picked unless Manly had to.

It is not often Burbo or Ola gets a rest during games and whilst backs are put on the bench to cover injury and often don't play any minutes, I dont see 2nd rowers put on the bench for injury and dont play any minutes. Waddell is handy in the respect in that he can cover front row and back row.

Aloiai is a prop. If Waddell wasn't meant to play so many games, why is he considered our third best second rower by Seibs. You don't see second rowers on the bench? Who are these second rowers in our squad? Any injury to our backrow and Waddell comes in. That is a fact. At least try and be intellectually honest when presenting your view.

Waddell is handy because he is the third best second rower at the club and that is a crime.

Thats what i said, Waddell isn't a 1st choice prop as a starter or a benchie, and he is not in the top 2 2nd row positions, so he either comes in to start 2nd row when there is an injury in the 2nd row, or is on the bench for front row rotation when Paseka, Aloai, Sipley and TKO arent available.

Id agree, Id like someone more handy to fill in for Burbo/Ola.

Hope that is clearer Biff.

I’d hardly call it a “ crime “ maybe a better description is “ an ordinary option as a result of our ordinary recruitment “.

The predictable unravelling of biff is happening again 😂
There needs to a thread with all Biff''s names over the years and what happened for him to have to change name again? It's hard to keep up with him. The thread might eventually reach the length of the Daily Cherrygraph thread.

No hooker?Id suggest the loss of Croker has actually done Seibold a favour
Watch Simpkin in defence; simply not good enough. I’m still waiting for him to make a dominant tackle and his career is four years old now. The forwards absolutely love running at him. He goes high and they just lap up the post contact metres and enjoy a nice quick play the ball. Then they go at him again by wedging in behind him at marker. It’s a clear tactic from opposition coaches.

I'd be very interested to see who this manager is. Would it be the same one that Ennis had as a player? That would probably be relatively easy to find.

I'm taking a guess here, but could it be the same manager as DCE? DCE is obviously unhappy with Seibold, and is likely part of this segment of the playing group unhappy with Seibold.

I don't believe Mestrov has a player manager. He's a CEO external to the Rugby League affairs in more recent years.

I'd be highly surprised if a Rugby League player agent was working for him, while he was the CEO of Greyhounds NSW, for example.

For me, this is like the wedding rumour. No idea where it came from, but if you use your brain to figure out where Seibold and Mestrov were at different points in the past, it's pretty easy to figure out that both rumours are false.
