Guess that is the thing also , irrespective who coaches the side next season , still going to have virtually the same squad and cap restrictions with Fogarty the likely only notable additionYou don't think a looming back-ended contract of $2.4m for Jake & Tom in 2026 has anything to do with the quality of recruitment we've had the past 2 years?
Given that the club have also re-signed Olakau'atu, Garrick & Saab, upgraded Lehi as well as continued to pay Schuster during that same period?
Oh that's right, it's all Seibold's fault (not Des').
Absolutely not. Recruitment is about getting the best players you can to fill the most needed positions with the money available to you.You don't think a looming back-ended contract of $2.4m for Jake & Tom in 2026 has anything to do with the quality of recruitment we've had the past 2 years?

Actually werent back ended contract's out lawed by the NRL before 2019 ?You don't think a looming back-ended contract of $2.4m for Jake & Tom in 2026 has anything to do with the quality of recruitment we've had the past 2 years?

I explained how the rule changed in 2018 on another threadActually werent back ended contract's out lawed by the NRL before 2019 ?
ok thank you ,so that BS that Jake and Tom will soak up 2.4 next year ?I explained how the rule changed in 2018 on another thread
If you had to choose between losing your forward pack and losing your backline, I'd choose losing the backline.Souths have had far more players out due to injury and they are only 1 win behind Manly.Manly have basically had a full backline to pick from every week. That tells you all you need to know about the respective coaches
I didn’t say that, they may very well, but they soak up $2 million or a bit more now,so it’s not a hell of a lot of extra. Its only a lot of $$ now due to their form.Tom comes out next year and gets anywhere near his best and it’s a bargain.Obviously that’s a big ifok thank you ,so that BS that Jake and Tom will soak up 2.4 next year ?
Murray,Moale,If you had to choose between losing your forward pack and losing your backline, I'd choose losing the backline.
Having crap backs will limit your points, having crap forwards means you can't even get into the contest.
I think this is itI explained how the rule changed in 2018 on another thread
They changed the rule in 2018,but it was changed to stop teams from paying below market value for the first year of the contract. So in essence,if a player is said to be worth a million with the NRL’s idea of market value,a team can’t pay $500K for the first year and $1.5 million the last year, just an example.Whilst the Trbjovic’s will get a pay rise next year,it’s not exactly a massive increase that cripples the cap.If there’s any issues,it has more to do with what the...I thought Greenturd outlawed backended contracts. Were the Turbos signed up on their current deal before that?
I see Seibold still has some blind faith believers on here. Talk about gobsmacked. With that type of blind faith support, I’m beginning to see why he has lasted as long as he has. Good work if you can get it.
“I’m not using this as an excuse, but [excuse A,B,C].” As long as you preface any excuse with the words “this is not an excuse” you are good to go. Genius.Look, I’m really proud of Siebs’ efforts. He’s had a great preparation but just couldn’t deploy some of his weapons.
Yeah, but Waddell, Lodge and Brown weren't meant to be regular benchies, let alone regular starters.Absolutely not. Recruitment is about getting the best players you can to fill the most needed positions with the money available to you.
The failure here is all on Seibold.
Waddell, Nathan Brown, and the Great White Whale Lodge.
Hideous
Tatola & Koloamatangi have only missed 4 games each this year I wouldn’t call that a ‘big chunk’. They have played more games than Jake, Paseka, Josh A, Ola, Brown & the same amount of games as Burbo + TKO. Murray is definitely a huge out for them.Murray,Moale,
Koloamatangi and Tatola have missed big chunks of the season.Murray, who is better than any of Manly’s forwards,IMO,hasn’t played a game thus far
