I saw mention of Manly being in a "mini-crisis" today🙂

Whatever it is, whatever the causes (because it's certainly not just one), we are playing terrible footy. Injuries to key forwards have not been kind, so it's hard to see us improving much over the remainder of the season. Theoretically, we are not dead yet, but we are not showing any signs of fight or life.

If we do somehow manage to string some wins together, of course the pressure on Siebold will ease. Think Adam O'Brien, who was about to be sacked a few seasons back before his team went on an 11-game winning streak.

But I can't see it happening for us. The chances of us winning even our next two "easy" games are not great. I think the Tigers will roll us. We might have enough to get past Souths, but I wouldn't be putting anybody's money on that. If we lose both, the outlook will be extremely bleak.

By your logic, the Bulldogs would still have Barrett as coach. Ciraldo was just another assistant coach at the Panthers, so presumably under your selection criteria he would not have even been interviewed. No, what they should have done was ask some fans on a website who could do a better job than Barrett. If no one could be identified (by the expert fans) who would definitely guarantee them a premiership, they should have just stuck with Trent. I think that’s how your logic plays out. Clearly that is a much better approach than adopting the silly advertise, invite applications, interview, shortlist, select process than those silly professional organisations go through.

Who I or anyone else on this forum think could guarantee a premiership is irrelevant. I have in fact answered your question a few times already. My answer is I don’t know, I’m just a numpty fan. What I suggest is that they go through a proper selection process. Who knows, a quality assistant coach like Ciraldo was before he went to the bulldogs might apply. I have previously suggested the current panthers assistant who comes from the same path as Ciraldo and Webster, but that would be subject to his applying and satisfying whatever selection criteria we agree beforehand.

That current Penrith assistant, Ben Gardner has just signed a 5 year deal with Perth.

it was interesting to hear the QLD players in the post match interviews making statements on how much they wanted to win and win this one for Billy. It was emotional and genuine.
We need that winning desire and passion and im certainly not feeling that from the coach or the players .Its all very scripted and its like they are just going through the motions.

Laundys hotels are the major sponsor of the bulldogs and are very active in the running of the club including the management of the tpa s .Their agreement with the club I think goes Untill 2032.
