Sack Barrett

Should we sack Trent

So if we didn’t take the almost certain two points and then failed to score a try at bset we wouldn’t have even got to golden point!

Sorry, but this is utterly unknowable, and an unknown arguement.

It isn't like a missed conversion that still ends up with the same restart in play.
A missed or successful penalty goal irrevocably changes the rest of the game, as the restart is different, possession/ field position has been changed, etc, etc.

Some may even argue that a successful or missed conversion also alters the remainder of the game, as the opposition makes their own choices based on the scoreline at the time, and that particular arguement would also be valid, imo.

Reference my post above, completely lost with massive facepalm.
Game was over fluff. You were on the field by yourself mate.

In all seriousness though you did bring up a interesting stat. Certainly didn’t think Flanagan and Barrett would be on par at the same stage of there respective careers.

In saying that I’m firmly in the sack Barrett camp. Team selections, poor structures - both attack and defence. Also think he is to close and buddy buddy with the playing group, resulting in favouritism. It’s also so very obvious that he has a poor feel for the game, making subs at poor times or leaving players on when they need to be hooked...

The discussion was sack Barrett (see thread title), the point was comparing Barrett and Flanagan and the evidence was that Flanagan was a better coach due to his total record.

I simply compared like with like, as I'm bored waiting to start my second job.

Just too funny that it was all but identical.

Wow, you really love to twist stuff around.dude. The point you quoted and were debating was Flannagan not being any good at coaching a side to close out a game, but you have gone everywhere but that point.

A few do that here, mostly because they don't know how to debate or are losing a debate. I'm done, all the best silvertail.

Don’t debate, just have an opinion.

That’s me , I don’t get into the petty bull**** debates on here.

You ( collectively you I mean) have opinions, so do I , many will differ!!

Such is life!

Good points.. you must have seen the movie "sliding doors" or "butterfly effect." A lot of what ifs.

I'll weigh in here and say that Flanagan is a better coach as he has closed out more games than Trent Barrett .

We will all be joining strone33 in the foetal position If Neil Henry gets a gig at Manly next year in some coaching capacity to support Barrett

According to several reports tonight on 2hd / fox they reckon that Neil Henry to Manly in 2019 is a done deal? Does that open the door for Trent to go to Penrith?

Remember that time when a Silvertails poster, through the gentle power of persuasion and irrefutable logic, convinced another Silvertails poster to abandon their previously passionately held view?

Neither do I.

Sadly logic doesn’t mean a lot on here , never has really!!

But subjectively , Mark could change his colour preference to green . Maybe some logic associated to that but I might have to listen to the " Logical song" to try and get a better perspective and to avoid digressing .

So what you are really saying is that one mans logic is another’s subjective opinion
