Something I have heard floating about on the grapevine through a few Newcastle fans I reluctantly know....

looks like we may have signed or be close to signing Dureau for next year.

Not sure how I feel about it. He often shows some flashes of brilliance and may be a good stop gap. Always over shadowed by Mullins and the Mr make or break a game Gidley

He'd be good as a backup for Cherry-Evans, but that's it. He's too inconsistent, but I must say, he can kick good 40/20's.

I thought Matthew White played really well on Saturday night, I would have no issues if we signed him.

I thought of Dureau a month or 2 back, but decided in the end I would be happier with Cherry having a run

Dureau has shown some nice touches at time but never consistently

In all seriousness, ive heard the rumour about Dureau to Manly from a lower grade player with the Knights, however i think there is alot more $$$ on offer in the UK and thats where he will play next year.

There was a rumour on Triple m this morning that Manly are chasing a tall forward from the dogs, I immeadiddlitly thought of the bloke we already signed or are we after another

It would be Jarrad Hickey who is off contract. He's just another lump to be honest. We need speed and skill.

I wouldn't mind Hickey, he is a big, big unit, and when fit last year he was playing great footy in the front row.

I am always a solid 4 specialist front rowers in a 17 man, and King, Kite, Rose and Hickey would be a good rotation

I think on Triple M they said it was a backrower, and they suggested Idris, but i dont think he's off contract...I dont really see the need for another backrower at the moment anyway..Choc, Gift, Rodney, Galuvao, Buhrer, Lussick??? Thats plenty!

It would be sensational Ryan, he is a HUGE unit and seems a pretty good bloke too
