Saints have forked out big-time for Gasnier so they will be limited in what they can offer the rest of their roster. Guys like Jon Green and Trent Merrin are both off contract (at least according to their own website) - I wonder if we are looking at guys like them to replace Perry? Even an up & coming centre like Kyle Stanley looks to have a roadblock in his path now with 3 Origin centres blocking his path. Let’s hit the Saints with our chequebook (and bring a pen).

RLW said today that Manly are after big name forward and that Luke O'Donnell was at the top of the list. Good player, but whenever he looks sideways he'll get penalised and sat down for 4-5 weeks.

The chances of Willie Mason remaining with North Queensland Cowboys have soared, with Luke O'Donnell set to take up a massive offer from English Super League club Huddersfield.

A veteran of five State of Origin appearances for New South Wales Blues and 10 Test matches for Australia, O'Donnell has been the subject of offers from rival NRL clubs Cronulla and Newcastle Knights, with the Cowboys also keen to retain the hard-hitting backrower's services in 2011.

However, Cowboys football manager Dean Lance admitted no NRL club could compete with the money on offer from the Nathan Brown-coached Giants.

The Sydney Roosters have followed up the announcement they have signed Canberra's Justin Carney with confirmation they have also secured North Queensland utility Anthony Watts. Watts's manager Sam Ayoub yesterday said Watts, who has been in strong form for a poorly performing side, had agreed to a three-year deal with the Roosters. Watts's signature may spell the end of James Aubusson's stint with the club. With Jake Friend and now Watts on the club's books, and fellow hooker Aubusson off contract at the end of the season, the club is unlikely to re-sign the latter.

A friend of mine said to look out for a guy named James Graham from St Helens. Apparantly he is off contract and wants to come to Australia. He's a ranga, plays prop and goes very well.
