Nope, I clearly remember reading in King Wally that it happened. We were apparently in negotiations with Lewis and Gene Miles at the time. Though if truth be told both probably knew by then that they would be part of the Broncos from 1988 so I really doubt either were overly serious about leaving Brisbane anyway.
