The NRL issues Canterbury breach notice for comments made about the match officials. A fine of $25,000 has been proposed for coach Dean Pay.

I wonder why the clubs didn't demand a 10k cap on fines of this nature before re-signing their licence thingie? IN the nhl players can only get fined a max 5k no matter what they do (though players are unionised and so are much stronger than our rlpa)
