I'm a huge fan of Tohu Harris. He is the forward I would want to recruit most in the competition

I said to myself before the season started that I could not understand how the Chooks and Cows were such favourites for 2018.

The Cows form last year was only good in the Finals, their regular season form was patchy at best. And while getting Thurston and Scott back under normal circumstances would be a big plus, the fact is that so far this season its like they have gone one year too long. Scott is getting gassed in games within 10 minutes, and while JT still has his skills, he has really slowed down.

As for the Chooks.....while Tedesco is an upgrade on Gordon, the offshoot is that they lost their best goal kicker. And replacing Pearce with Cronk isn't so much of an upgrade. Pearce knew that team like the back of his hand, knew how to get his team mates going during games. Cronk is playing like he's on one last big pay day.

The Warriors on the other hand have been a surprise. And to win today like they did without Johnson......nice to have a player there like Blake Green 😵

Yes, BG had a great game today, but it should also be noted that the young half who stepped in for SJ also had a good game. Wish we had a young rookie half who could step straight into FG and have such an impact. Of course, it remains to be seen how he goes over weeks to come, but that was an impressive first game
